Poor communication affecting care of puppy after delivery and costing lots of money.
We were not informed our puppy was given felbendazole which I saw on the records when he arrived. I’m with this information I would have taken him to the vet sooner because he had diarrhea day 1 I got him which he tested positive for Giardia. Puppy also was taken to the vet prior to arrival but no lab reports were provided so unsure about why he got felbendazole (which I am assuming is Giardia). Once again no communication. He’s peeing an insane amount since we got him so tom him to vet where they performed a U/A. Still waiting for results. With chaperone delivery emails were saying a crate would be provided but none was provided.

This was an awful experience
This was an awful experience. Everything went smoothly when ordering the puppy (aside from the very high price), but with that cost we were hoping for some level of service. We had a delivery date booked, then the day before arrival we were notified that the puppy was actually coming two weeks later, even though we had just received confirmation she would be arriving in a day that morning. Instead of reaching out immediately to figure out the situation with us, I had to call numerous times to get ahold of anyone who could shed any light on the situation. Every time I called I was told “sorry our manager isn’t available, or he is in a meeting, or on lunch break.” It was beyond frustrating. After we rearranged our vacation and completely re worked our schedules, the puppy did arrive perfect and healthy (thank goodness). We are so in love with our puppy, but going through PuppySpot was a mistake.

Avoid PuppySpot
It seems like PuppySpot has not kind of vetting of breeders and runs as a broker for backyard puppy mills. I bought a husky puppy from them, which arrived with serious signs of distress and trauma. At the very least the puppy was not properly socialized, and was neglected during the first critical weeks of its life.
I tried contacting the PuppySpot "concierge" that handled the transaction regarding the issues I was facing, and PuppySport decided to ignore the mails.
I intended to (at least try) rehabilitate this dog, she is a true beauty, but she has been at home for 3 weeks, and she is now 19 weeks old; she is making progress, rather slowly, but this situation could have been avoided by the breeder doing its job.
Avoid PuppySpot, and avoid Husky breeders from Shipshewana(IN).
Quoted below I include the message PuppySpot decided to ignore.

It has been 12 days since Laika arrived. From the first day she has shown the typical traits of a traumatized dog, and her behavior is not that of a puppy but that of a rescue dog coming from a shelter.
* Shy to the extreme. Startled by any noise or movement in her proximity
* No play instinct
* Hypervigilant 24/7
* Spends most of the time cowering in her crate, or under the TV table
* Compulsive actions whenever someone is in the same room at feeding time
* Avoids everybody. No one can get closer than a couple of meters of her without she running for cover. I (being the primary care) am the only one she dares to approach, but never closer than half a meter and refuses to be reached out at all. Even handing a treat is compulsive ritual of approach, run away, approach… that lasts several minutes.
* Refuses to be walked, attaching the leash makes her freeze in place, and sometimes urinate
We have given her all the space she needs. And yet, the only time she shows some puppy-like behavior and curiosity is when she decides to leave her hiding place and go to run in the garden. The behavior has been consistent since day 1.
I have had a few dogs through my life and I have never seen such a stressed behavior in a puppy. I am not sure what happened at the breeder or during transport, but the fact is that she is psychologically damaged and traumatized. Far from the friend my daughter was expecting, and just a terrified ghost that avoids everyone. Her veterinary agrees with this description, she is traumatized.
It is a sad stated of affairs, specially for my daughter, having such a beautiful puppy that refuses everyone. And my intuition tells me that PuppySpot is not doing enough work vetting breeders.

I called PuppySpot because I’m looking for a xl bully.
I called PuppySpot because I’m looking for an American XL Bully male puppy, and the entire call was a mess from start to finish. The representative clearly had no idea what she was talking about and acted like I was the one confused.
When I asked if they had American XL Bullies, she immediately tried to “correct” me with, “Do you mean an American bulldog?” I said no, and explained that they’re usually listed as XL Bully. Then she switched to, “Do you mean a pitbull?” — which is not even remotely the same breed. They aren’t “like” pitbulls, they aren’t related, and anyone working for a dog-placement company should know that.
But here’s the part that shows how ridiculous the whole conversation was:
She kept correcting me over and over, but when she brought up pitbulls, she admitted they don’t carry pitbulls either. So why argue with me about a breed they don’t even offer?
I asked if they had mastiffs, and she gave me a dismissive “sometimes” like they don’t like dealing with large breeds at all. But when I asked if they had any larger breeds, she suddenly said, “Yeah, we have Cane Corso and Great Dane.” So they’ll carry those massive breeds, but not bullies? It makes zero sense.
Meanwhile, they do carry Chihuahuas — a breed that is far more likely to bite someone than a well-bred bully. The fact that they’ll list those but refuse to carry bullies tells you everything about how little they understand about temperament, breed standards, or responsible placement.
And to top it all off, her phone started ringing mid-conversation, and instead of silencing it or apologizing, she just kept talking over it like it was normal. It was loud, distracting, and incredibly unprofessional — like she couldn’t even be bothered to take the call seriously.
When I said I’d look elsewhere since they don’t carry the breed, she hit me with a sarcastic, “OK whatever, have a good search,” and hung up on me. That’s their idea of customer service.
If PuppySpot can’t train their staff to speak respectfully, learn basic breed distinctions, or even maintain basic professionalism during a phone call, I wouldn’t trust them with helping anyone find a dog. I’ll be taking my business to a breeder who actually knows what they’re talking about.

I am very upset I had to get my puppy oral surgery and have gotten no assistance with my claim. I have asked for a supervisor and no one cares to help me either. This is unacceptable and I caution anyone who reads this to shop somewhere else.

You need a quality check on your breeders!
You represented that all the breeders selling puppies on your website had been vetted and rated. I don't see how that is possible based on the puppy that I bought. She came underweight (skin and bones), she had been treated for hookworms prior to being delivered (which means all the other dogs in that kennel have hookworms), she has an intestinal parasite, she was not crate trained as advertised, she was not socialized to any degree, and is afraid of men, We were told she was fed 4Health chicken and rice (she won't touch that food) and we bought a bag to be ready for her, we were told they would send some of her food with her - they didn't). She had an ear infection in both ears and the blood test showed she was anemic. The medical records that came with her did not show any blood test being done, nor were there any results in the report. When all was said and done, it cost me $1,598.70 in vet bills to get her on the road back to health. I would have sent her back, but I didn't have the heart to send her back to the place where she came from and have her neglected. The delivery service was fine.
