Puppy and chaperone were great, everything else kind of sucked
Could have been a lot better, could also have been worse. After planning for a specific puppy to make it to our home, we had everything prepped. New crate, toys and food ready for it. Weeks go by, we are getting down to the wire. Only a few days to go, and I get a cryptic phone call about our puppy’s last vet check. I talk to both a man and woman, whom I can hardly understand, stating our puppy has a genetic issue and can’t come home with us. Well, I was shocked. And angry. To make things worse, all of the other puppies we felt would have made a suitable replacement were now sold or reserved, so we had to make a decision on a total of 5 puppies. All were more expensive, and the one that seems the healthiest cost us an additional 1200 dollars and we had to travel across the state to go get her to the worst part of Oregon. Our previous puppy was to be delivered to our door, so this was insult to injury. After many attempts to contact Puppyspot for information while waiting for our replacement puppy, we received little information. The day came, and we drove to Portland to await our puppies arrival. Everything that can go wrong did… the initial flight out of Florida was delayed for her, but luckily her puppy chaperone, Carla, was very good at her job, and got her on another flight. At 11 o’clock that night, after a very long day for everyone, our puppy was delivered to us at PDX and we then took the three hour plus drive home. We have a massive regional airport 15 minutes from our home that connects to most other international airports, so this seemed ridiculous for everyone involved. Like I said, it could have been a lot better but it could have been even worse. Just not the best experience we have come to expect from Puppyspot.
