I have very mixed feelings about buying a dog through PuppySpot. I would not do it again and I urge caution for anyone choosing to go this route to find their pup. First of all, the whole process is very opaque. You never learn anything much about your puppy or where they are coming from. First contact with Puppy Spot is all warm and fuzzy till they get your money. Then every call is through an overseas service that knows zero about puppies and can only give scripted answers. Online chat is nonexistent. On the first call, when considering the purchase, we were told our puppy would fly into our home airport and within 3 weeks. He ended up flying to a different airport 5 hours away and it was 5 weeks before we had him. He was shipped with food that was different from what we were told he was eating. the sudden food switch caused nights of diarrhea. Another issue was that on our pup's info when we purchased him, it was indicated that his mom was a Bernes and his dad a mini poodle. Later info indicated his mom was a bernedoodle and his dad a poodle. This doesn't make a great deal of difference but at this price, we had a right to get what we paid for. We love our puppy and are glad to have him but we would seek out a breeder and visit the puppies if we ever purchase another puppy in the future.

DO NOT USE THEIR FINANCING! They don't warn you that the cost is insane. Thankfully I read the fine print before I signed, the interest/fees would have been 50% of the amount they were financing!!!! If you payoff early you still have to pay the fees/interest so no way out. Went to my bank and got like 2-3% interest. That said, most other things went well, and our puppy has the best temperament I've ever had in a dog. It just felt really dishonest that they would set up financing like it's all normal and no-one ever tells you it adds thousands to your fee, it's just in the terms and conditions when you sign the financing papers.

While the overall process of getting a puppy from PuppySpot was great, we were let down by the incorrect description of the puppy we bought. It was described as a mini Bernedoodle but mini it is not. We got a large dog and being our first dog ever we were definitely not ready for this. The other aspects of the process were good in terms of clear communication and timely delivery of our puppy.

Would have liked more info on the puppy we got. Things like what words she knew. What were her habits? We knew nothing about her and having a hard time getting her to relate to us.

Although we fell in love with the puppy we got, he’s not the one we chose. We still need help to change his name on his microchip. No help through email, no call back after leaving several messages. Even tried through the app. They say there is no one available. Still waiting.

I did not like the fact that the car service company that transported my puppy did not take any of the puppies out to pee or use the bathroom during their 13 hour trip. And I did not like that my puppy came to me with a flee on his body even though his paperwork stated he didn't have flees.

I’m super disappointed in my experience thus far. When I found this website & a particular puppy that I was interested in, I called and got someone right away. She told me it would be one week until I receive travel arrangements and probably another week until I receive the puppy. When I received the traveling arrangements, I was shocked to find out I was going to have to wait a month before I got our new puppy which was already 10 weeks old. I called puppy spot and put my number in the queue to be called back and never received a call. I called again and waited over an hour to speak to an agent who said she would ask to have the puppy flown in sooner. It was a 24 Hour drive for us one way, so driving was out of the question. It’s been three weeks since I’ve seen updated photos and I’ve asked for them twice, with no luck. I am hoping and praying that our dog actually makes the flight next week Thursday, as he will be 14 weeks old at that point, which is definitely older than I would hope. I’m highly disappointed with the customer service, post purchase. Especially since this cost me $4,845. I’d recommend trying to find a breeder closer to you. :(

The first puppy we selected failed the vet test which was disappointing but at the same time we were impressed with the care that PuppySpot took. We decided to choose a puppy that was “ready to go” the second time, thinking that this would avoid disappointment and ensure a speedy delivery. We heard nothing for some time. Then eventually we were sent travel arrangements, the puppy was not being sent to The agreed airport. The next thing I know the travel arrangements were marked accepted…I hadn’t done that. When I called I was told that they had to go to this specific airport. We then got a call to say the puppy had parasites in its stomach and ask if we wanted to accept her with medication anyway or wait until she was finished the treatment. It would have been the last day so we agreed to take her. Our beautiful puppy arrived, with no medication, she was tired, matted and covered in poop and blood. Obviously very stressed by the whole travel. Having got to know her I know understand that she does not travel well. She is however the most adorable well adjusted dog. She’s sweet, fun and good with people. She loves everyone. I’m giving three stars for the lack of communication, I was very frustrated not knowing what was happening for almost two weeks after selecting our “ready to travel” puppy. The puppy however is amazing, in great health and a beautiful personality.
