The communication sucked

We love our new puppy! She looks just like the pictures and video. She was delivered within the expected delivery window. Communications throughout the process have been seamless. Their core service was executed flawlessly. 2 main complaints turned me off, though. First, almost every single message sent by PuppySpot after the initial purchase was an advertisement for a partner's products or services. In one case, there was an advertisement to purchase her food on Chewy (even though Chewy no long sells that brand on their site). Would have been nice to see more thought leadership, guidance, and coaching vs non-stop messaging about partner products and services. Second, after we completed the initial purchase, a rep called us to "help us with next steps". They then proceeded to upsell us on packages offered by the company. He told us that the online transaction hadn't gone through yet and wanted to know if I wanted him to cancel the original transaction and re-run it to avoid delays with our puppy's delivery. Tells me he is commission based and that that commission is tied to transaction size. I declined his offer and he seemed a little upset and asked me the question again - are you sure? The transaction went through just fine. His behavior was off-putting and left me concerned that we were being scammed.

We are very happy with our puppy. The only thing that made this a less than desirable experience were the inconsistencies in scheduling. While we are very happy to have our puppy, he came a week sooner than they communicated, and also on an entirely different day than communicated. All problems were fixable, but It did add a bit more chaos in our life and we were expecting a streamlined experience.

It took them 4 weeks to get the puppy. I asked for an 8 week old puppy. We received her 3 days before she was 12 weeks. They rescheduled us less than 12 hours from expected delivery 2 times. We were very disappointed.

Delivery was timely and accurate. The customer service provided incorrect information and told me that a small amount of food would also be supplied. No food was provided. Also the incorrect photo of the puppy I purchased was sent to me as part of an email response which was concerning.

The process was easy and clear. I loved how the reps were consistent and kept in contact with me throughout the process. Delivery was great as well, on time as mentioned with no issues. My only issue is the promise of up to date shots and vaccines for Chase (Ben), but, once I took him to the vet the doctor said the vaccine documents I was given were invalid because they were not signed. I had to get him completely vaccinated from scratch. That seems like false advertising but hey who am I. I'm just happy that other than that Chase is in good health and fitting in at my home just fine. Overall experience was great, thank you for my new fur baby. Already so in love.

All of my correspondence with Puppy Spot has been either text or email. I have no complaints with Puppy Spot's communication. My criticisim involves the no breeder contact policy. I would have liked direct contact with the breeder.
