Misled Grieving widow!!
I advise all possible clients to review puppy spot’s fine line if need to cancel an order. They keep HALF of your payment if you cancel your order. I’ve been trying to get my refund since January 2024 with more than 5 phone calls and different replies every time. My advice to all, is DO NOT use this company! It’s not about the client, it’s all about the loss of your money! Shame on them!!!

Buyer Beware! READ THE ENTIRE COMMITMENT DOCUMENT!
We had a great few days with our puppy, but I noticed that her stool was always very soft/runny. After a few days, we took her to the vet. It turned out that she had a parasite. PLEASE BE AWARE OF PUPPYSPOT’S DAY 1-14 COMMITMENT. It talks of reimbursement of reasonable and customary veterinary bills. Later in the document it mentions reimbursement for lesser of $150.00. I have had my puppy to the vet twice now after having her for 14 days. My vet bills, medication and special prescription food for gastrointestinal issues total over $330.00 so far. That does not matter to PuppySpot. $150.00 is the maximum amount. I can only hope her medication and new food clear up her tummy issues.

We are so sorry to hear about your puppy's condition. Regretfully her arriving with a parasite and upset stomach is a common condition of purebred puppies, due to genetics. It's in part why we created the 10 Year Health Commitment to be able to provide new owners with a window of early financial support should a puppy need veteranarian care. And you are correct the contractual limit is $150 which historically has accommodated the vast majority of similar cases. With that said our goal is 100% happy customers and happy puppies, so we are willing to reimburse you for the $180 additonal expense. Please give us a call at 866-306-6064 to arrange that. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Their delivery system makes me question…
Their delivery system makes me question their morality and how they think about the welfare of their puppies. I chose a delivery near by.. they did not call me in advance but scheduled my puppy on a flight for mid day on a Wednesday for a flight an hour from my house. I’m just out of surgery and I should not even be driving that far nor should I really be taking more time off work. They had o solution versus suggesting I find a friend.. I don’t have a friend who can pick up the dog in the middle of the day either. There was no option to pivot to deliver near home. I was just left to sort this out myself. In future I will pivot to using an organisation who checks someone is available to pick up a puppy (they are like kids after all) before booking them on an aircraft

We are sorry to hear about your less than perfect experience with the delivery scheduling of your puppy. We try to be as clear as possible regarding the three delivery options available to people interested in adopting from us. There is an option to have a puppy delivered to your door, but it is the most expensive one. You appear to have opted for the delivery program that does require some travel on the customer's part. We are working with our delivery travel partner to be able to provide our customers with more timing options to fit their schedules. We are also revisiting the language on the website and with the customer representatives to minimize any future confusion. Again, our sincerest apologies for putting some much of the onus on you. It was not our intent.

Puppy spot will be absolutely so nice to you. Trying to get you to buy a dog. Once you buy the dog, they do not care about you anymore. Impossible to get pictures of your dog that you just paid so much money. Dog ended up Testing positive for giardia and I changed my travel arrangements and everything and they weren't even going to offer a solution to fix it or even consider that I had to take vacation and you can't get refunded for your flights after you book them. They do not care about you at all. All they want is money. They're a little clique and you can tell. I know they offer financing. That's why I did it, but make sure you check if anywhere else offers financing before you pick puppy spot

Thank you for your feedback. As hard as it can be to hear, it's important as we seek to improve every step in the PuppySpot experience. Our goal is 100% happy customers and 100% happy puppies. We are working on improving overall communications post puppy purchase to ensure that customers know everything they need or want to know about their puppy. Clearly we still have work to do. Regretfully your pup testing positive for Giardia is not unusual, it's a very common condition among purebreds. We're sorry it screwed up your travel plans and that we are unable to accommodate you. We hope you are at least happy with your puppy and that you might consider us again in the future. Thank you again.

I had my vet visit within two weeks of…
I had my vet visit within two weeks of receiving my puppy. She has a double ear infection. It cost me approximately 150.00 to have her treated. How do I get reimbursed for that? Also, don't be fooled, these puppies do NOT fly in cabin with a trained pet chaperone. It's a complete and total lie. She came in a cargo hold all the way from South Dakota to Portland and she was terrified when she got here.
Not a happy camper at all.

We are sorry to hear about your puppy's doube ear infection and her nervousness. Sadly ear infections are common with many purebred puppies. It’s why in part we created the 10 Year Health Commitment, to provide new owners with a window of early financial support should a puppy contract these types of conditions. Please give us a call at (866) 306-6064 to arrange for reimbursement. In terms of your puppy's air travel in cargo, regretfully because of your puppy's size the chaperone was not allowed to have her accompany him in the cabin. But rest assured that the American Airlines cargo hold is a temperature managed environment, i.e. the puppy's health was never threatened. We are also sorry to hear about your puppy's nervousness. Sadly it's not uncommon with certain breeds, with the disposition being passed from generation to generation. But that fact does not make dealing with it any easier. The good news is that because this is such a common condition there is a plethora of online research and recommendations to help you socialize your puppy. We encourage you to take a look and apply some of the socialization techniques other dog owners are suggesting. Another option is to hire a dog trainer who specializes in working with fearful puppies and dogs. Let us know if you need a recommendation. Finally, thank you for posting your feedback. As hard as it is to hear, it is helpful to us. Our goal is 100% happy customers and 100% happy puppies. We still have some work to do.

took horrible care of my puppy
took horrible care of my puppy
i was so excited to get my puppy and they sent me pics and videos of her to me updated until it was time for me to receive her. in the vids online, she looked so fluffy and happy. however, the day i got her she looked HORRIBLE and SICK.
she's a bernedoodle. upon receiving her, she was dirty, coat was matted, nails were overgrown, and she just smelled so bad. like trash. she was shaking, crying, and so anxious. i was already unhappy and felt so sad for her because it was evident she was NOT being taken care of at all, and all of the pictures and videos online had to have been totally staged. she barely even looked like she did online. it was like i had a totally different puppy than the one i'd seen on the website.
BUT IT GETS WORSE! i brought her home, and she immediately started pooping everywhere. which is fine and expected from a puppy who must have been anxious from the travel. BUT, her poop was completely bloody. she wouldn't eat, wouldn't drink water, and was just incessantly pooping blood. at one point it was just straight blood, not even any poop.
i took her to the vet. she had parasites and stomach infections. clearly, she was not being watched or cared for and must have been eating something she wasn't supposed to-- i don't even know. but it was scary. i thought i was going to lose the puppy i'd just gotten and it was heartbreaking to see her like this.
all in all, you guys did not take good care of my dog at all. she is scared all the time, and when i take her out for walks she acts like she's never been outside before in her life! and she is alredy 16 weeks old.
i am so happy to have her, but for the price i paid, i did NOT get the puppy i asked for. i am so glad i got her though because clearly she was not in a good environment before and i am so happy i can provide a better home for her now.
overall, if you want a puppy from a breeder, do not get one through here. they make you pay ridiculous amounts just to treat the animals like garbage. if it was up to me, yall would be shut down. i am so displeased and i feel guilty for putting money into this company and keeping a business like this running.

We are so sorry to hear about your puppy's condition upon arrival. That is certainly not our standard of care or delivery. It is true that sometimes the travel journey can result in a puppy arriving with matted fur and not perfectly clean, but your experience sounds like an extreme situation. We will speak with both the breeder and the deliver team to understand why our protocols were not followed. We'd also like to confirm that the images sent to you were in fact the puppy you purchased, and would ask that you call so we can get the information we need. Regretfully her arriving with a parasite and upset stomach is a common condition for puppies and easily treatable. It's in part why we created the 10 Year Health Commitment to be able to provide new owners with a window of early financial support should a puppy need veteranarian care. Please give us a call at 866-306-6064 if we can be of help. Lastly, her nervous disposition is also a common condition of puppies and one that can be offset over time with more socialization and training. Most importantly we are genuinely sorry that your experience was not what you expected. Our goal is 100% happy customers and 100% happy puppies. Your feedback, as hard as it is to hear, helps us make progress towards that goal. Thank you.

Our puppy isn’t a normal puppy !!!
Our puppy isn’t a vibrant energetic typical puppy ; he is always hiding and looks scared! He seems to like his crate a lot , not curious or playful! My Vet seems to think he spent most of his time alone in a crate, I didn’t want a puppy from a puppy mill!!! And my puppy has the characteristic of a neglected puppy. I hope that puppy spot makes this right by us!! And the Dr. thinks that he might have health issues he doesn’t eat or drink ; he has been dehydrated !! Not happy at all!!!

And again, we are sorry you and so many other dog owners are faced with a fearful puppy.

Total money scam, no refunds
What started out great ended with a lot of frustration and money wasted. This company is just a middleman between you and the breeder. First off the dog was around $3,600, we were assured someone would be flying down with the dog in the passenger seat on a plane to us. We paid for that which was an additional $1000. Then we get an email saying they’ve completely changed the drop off date to an additional 3 weeks later because the dog was too big for the plane now. We also find out they were going to be driving a lot of dogs for over 14 hours up to us. Makes me wonder if they charged everyone the full price for one trip for all those animals. And for this service they wanted an additional $1000. Then I looked up reviews online and realized people were saying this company was ripping people off and that their medical guarantee was a shame and basically unusable, because if something was wrong with the dog they won’t give you the money back, they MiGHT give you store credit or most likely another dog of equal value. Who the hell would want a replacement dog??! That’s messed up. The woman on the phone went around in circles and wouldn’t say yes at all if we get the money back. Totally scammy company. Also their refund policy is extremely cut throat, better look at that. That’s not even the worst part, they refunded the original flight payment we made but then charged us an additional $400 for a pickup of which was with the breeder! Not even with puppyspot. Then we found out from the breeder that she only got $1500 for the dog which is what she was selling it for and her pickup fee was only $50. Which means puppy spot kept well over half. We flew down, picked up the dog and decided to rent a car and drive home. Saved us a lot of money even with the long drive. Never use a middle man, just go straight to the breeder, luckily the puppy is adorable and we love her. But the company is a total rip off.
Edit: Just found out that the dog was well under the 20 pounds limit and just under the height which means she could have gone on the plane the entire time with a companion. puppyspot did not check with the breeder they just wanted more money from us. A complete and utter scam of a company.

Thank you for posting, feedback both positive and not so positive is really helpful to us. We're sorry your experience was not perfect and the communications appear to have been inconsistent. As shared with you, we were not able to transport your puppy in the plane's cabin due to size limitations. We subsequently notified you and reimbursed you for the price difference. In terms of our refund policy, it is designed to be considerate of the puppies and their well-being, ensuring that they have a home.
