We received our puppy this week. Communication with the company was difficult and confusing. Puppy arrived soiled in a crate after spending many hours inside a crate for the flight from Indiana to North Carolina. I wouldn't transport a puppy like that again. Puppy and crate were smelly and dirty. I immediately gave the puppy a bath after getting home from the airport. Also, the paperwork I received from the "head to tail" vet check indicated that our puppy tested positive for giardia before being sent to us. No information or medication was provided, and I tried to call Puppy Spot about it and could not get anyone on the phone--I just sat on hold FOREVER, even though I tried calling twice. Very frustrating. Also, I recommend reading the details of the health guarantee CAREFULLY.

Giving out breeder information and knowing the conditions the puppy comes from is so very important! A simple search after getting my puppy (now having all his paperwork) shows he comes from a breeder that breeds ELEVEN different types of dogs at one time! I got him at 20 weeks old and I have never met a more nervous, anxious, and scared puppy. He clearly has had very limited human interaction or any form of socialization. I opted for a breeder meet up and he given to me absolutely filthy. Communication with Puppyspot itself was fine. They responded to emails after phone call follow ups for the most part. I can't stress the importance of knowing where these dogs are coming from. Now having the puppy and breeders information I can see the advertising for every puppy they have, why cant that be communicated through puppy spot?

It was a very simple process. The biggest concern is not having information on the breeder until the puppy is delivered. Even with the information shared it tells you nothing about the breeder and searching on the web did not result in confidence. I still wonder where my puppy came from and the conditions of it location, care takers, parents and breeder, etc.

Things started well, but it became difficult to get in touch with them and get responses. After we paid for their Chaperone service to fly with our new puppy in the passenger area, that suddenly was cancelled. I do understand the reason was problems with the airlines. However, on our own we reserved a seat for the puppy in the cabin with us using Alaska Air's "Cabin Seat Program", plus an extra $100. Admittedly, we had to explain this program to our gate agent who had never heard of it, but once she looked it up everything worked fine. This should be an option for PuppySpot's Chaperone Service!

We have our puppy but no contract with the finance company. I tried for almost 2 weeks to get this resolved with no help from Puppy Spot.

The puppy was unwell, vomiting twice within the first 15 minutes of me receiving it and refusing to eat for the first 12 hours. Additionally, she appeared unkempt and emitted a strong, unpleasant odor. I would have been willing to pay more for a well-groomed puppy.

Overall I would give PuppySpot a 3. Positives: The puppy I bought was adorable and in good health. They were helpful with details when initially asking about the dog. NEGATIVES: Once you put down your payment the service quality plummets- which really makes you uncomfortable considering the amount of money you are paying for this service. Getting the dog was stressful- I ended up just cancelling the $700 drop off and driving 10 hours to pick up the dog myself. Even the day I was told to go there, they wouldn't give me details until I put my foot down and said- "look, I am paying $4K for a dog and driving 10 hours- the least you could do get back to me with the pickup location." Every time I would try to call the hot line, I would have to wait on hold forever and then get a new person who had no idea what was going on. They would say things like, "You can pick the dog up sometime the week of Dec 14th, but we have no details on which day or time- and if you can't pick up the dog when we say its ready there will be a fine you have to pay". It made me so anxious, I almost took the loss and cancelled the dog all together. It's really too bad, because getting a new puppy should be a fun and exciting adventure. After all was said and done, I am happy with my puppy- but I would not use Puppy Spot again due to the poor communication and pickup fiasco.

Once you receive the money there is no communication. Very disappointed that no one EVER responded to my emails. I have asked over and over again for photos of parents thru email or calls.
