I think they are a scam. We paid $2700 for a puppy and they do not communicate with us and are only giving us dates to pick up the puppy that doesn’t work with us and they ask us when we can pick her up and they do a totally different day. I am thinking about legal action against them and the breeder if there is one. I have called, texted and emailed them and no response. Very likely it is a scam. Shop as local as you can! I got burnt but you don’t have to. Don’t use them

Lots of promises, takes your money, cares less about you or your puppy.
This Golden was for a disabled veteran. We spent over 2 hours clearly articulating our needs with Sara. She KNEW what we needed and simply didn’t care. It’s all about the money to them. We were promised our 23 week old puppy was house trained, knew basic commands, and was socialized to cats, people, and multiple environments. This puppy was terrified of everything. Sha arrived shaking, dirty, smelly, and unable to even walk up one step into our house. They lied to us about the socialization, training, mode of delivery (Air Cargo then ground transport by 2 drivers that yelled at each other… god knows what she went through!)…. Everything except the puppy being AKC registered was a lie! (AKC was true but unimportant to us… the socialization and house training was most important, as it was for a disabled veteran). As soon as they got our money, they refused to return our calls. We even reached out when our puppy was delivered and refused to eat/drink anything for over 18 hours. She’s not house trained, still scared of every little sound, and acts like she has been traumatized (ie cowers in the corner). “After Care” was supposed to call us. No one ever did. They care less about you, your family, or your puppy. They just want money. Sara knew full well this was for a disabled veteran. Shame on them!

I tried to get information on a Golden Labrador Retriever. I text several messages to Brittany requesting photos of the mom and dad and about delivery services. I was totally ignored

My experience with Puppy Spot was…Horrific
My experience with Puppy Spot was deplorable. First there were two dogs with the same name and I received a different puppy than the one I thought I ordered. I received a puppy with ear infection and diarrhea. She was dirty, with a terrible odor and completely unkept with hair that was straight, about 5 inches long that hampered her sight. She is supposed to be a poodle but I couldn’t tell what breed she was. The fact that there are separate teams handling the purchase allows each team to have no accountability because each team opens with the complete lack of knowledge about the former team.

Truly awful
I was harrased by a member of staff multiple times, even when I said I was no longer interested because after doing all the calculations (transport and such included) it would be way over budget for me. I ended up blocking the staff member and requested my account be deleted, which they have failed to do. The puppy sellers in my experiance also never answer you.

I'm writing this review as a warning to…
I'm writing this review as a warning to others after a disappointing experience with this breeder. While our new Bichon Frise puppy is adorable and has stolen our hearts, we're extremely disappointed to discover that she's not a purebred as advertised. Despite paying nearly $4000, it's clear that she's a mix with another breed.
This revelation has left us feeling misled and taken advantage of. We trusted the website and ignored the warnings from others, which was a mistake. It's not the puppy's fault, and we'll continue to love and care for her, but we regret our decision to trust this breeder.
If you're considering getting a puppy from this website, I urge you to exercise extreme caution and do your research. Don't make the same mistake we did. Look for red flags, read reviews, and ask for transparency about the puppy's lineage and health clearances. We hope that by sharing our experience, we can prevent others from being scammed like us.

We are genuinely sorry to hear about your concerns vis a vis your Bichon Frise's pedigree. She is in fact purebred. According to our records the Sire is a purebred Bichon Frise with a registry registration number on file and the Dam is a purebred Bichon Frise, also with an registry registration number on file. We will be sending you this confirmation via email. One potential source of the confusion may be the whatever third party testing method was used. All of them come with explicit qualifiers that they do not offer 100% DNA accuracy. It is why we recommend relying on the registry documentation.

The dog came with a genetic defect
The dog, a dachshund, female, came with a genetic defect. The dog has a horrible underbite. Now I will not be able to breed it nor show the dog as this will count against me. I paid $4,000 for a dog with genetic defects. I was ripped off. The only reason I am not returning the dog is because my wife loves it. I will never use Puppy Spot again. I asked for a discount in the beginning as I am a disabled vet from 3 wars. They said they could only give me a $200 discount even though the 4th of July gave the same discount to everyone. They blew up my phone trying to sell me things I did not need like pet toys and pet insurance. This is an organization that just cares about money and does not screen the dogs well.

We are sorry to hear abour your puppy's underbite. It is a not so uncommon issue with puppies. Please note that per the terms and conditions of your purchase PuppySpot puppies are not to be used for breeding or show. It is a policy we have held to for twenty years to insure the ongoing well being of our puppies. We apologize if this was not made sufficiently clear during your experience with is. We also apologize for offering you our curated set of puppy tools and support services. Many of our customers find them helpful, particularly in the first few months. We are glad your wife loves your pup, and hope you will consider us again in the future.

Better than expected, but...
Everything about PuppySpot was really more than expected. However, my puppy arrived with a horrible ear infection and needed grooming. He was very matted. Now, because of the infection, I can't get him groomed for 2 weeks. Otherwise, he is adorable and I'm glad I purchased him through PS. Update: My puppy has terrible anxiety that started about three days after arriving and barks/growls incessantly at my husband. I’m working with two master trainers with combined experience of over 50 years that state he acts like a puppy mill dog. I looked up BBB complaints and my experience is not uncommon. Do NOT use PuppySpot!!!

We are so sorry to hear that your new puppy arrived with an ear infection and was in need of grooming. Unfortunately, ear infections are common in young puppies and puppies can get messy in transit. We appreciate your feedback and our team will be reaching out to you to check up on your puppy. We hope he feels better soon and are happy you love him!
