Too many people to deal with. Too many unclear expectations regarding delivery of the dog. Shipping and or meet up was hard to coordinate. Also constant pushing of insurance and other products was annoying. The best part was the dog.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you are happy with your puppy but not so glad that the entire experience was not perfect. We have heard similar communication frustrations from other customers and are working to refine our standard protocols to ensure they don't happen in the future. Our goal is a 100% stress free experience with no surprises. Clearly we have work to do. Thank you again.

I found all of the customer service to…
I found all of the customer service to be excellent and I also found that the delivery person was very helpful and kind. The one sad thing and the one thing that caused me to give a three star was that one of my animals i.e. Marissa was very thin when she arrived; she also had a swatch on the middle of her back that had been either razored out or cut out and it appears that she may indeed be a puppy mill baby. Hiccup was an absolute delight, but way too young to have been sent to us. While I love both animals, I am somewhat concerned about them and how they were bred.

Thank you for your post, and for the positive feedback on our team's customer service. In terms of Marissa and Hiccup's breeding, rest assured they were cared for by one of our certified, longstanding breeders. At PuppySpot the health and well-being of the puppy is our number one priority. That’s why we have created the most rigorous breeder standards in the industry, and why we monitor our breeder partners on a real-time basis to make sure they are meeting our standards. An important thing to note: All breeders should be compliant with USDA stndards and regulations. The breeders should have formal relationships with a USDA-accredited veterinarians who maintain a Program of Veterinary Care (PVC). And the breeders should provide living spaces that meet regulatory standards for size, pet-friendly materials, aesthetics, ventilation, temperature, noise, flooring, bedding, lighting, cleaning, pest control, outdoor facilities, and more. The PuppySpot Perfect Puppy Promise is built on how we select and certify our breeder partners and how they care for their puppies. We are the opposite of a Puppy Mill. Lastly, rest assured we are going to take your specific feedback to their breeder to better understand both Marissa's weight and Hiccup's size. Please know that federal law forbids travel with puppies unless they meet minimum age and weight limits. Thank you again for your feedback.

I'd like better communication, not just text messages.
I'd like to hear directly, a live voice, a personal message. It's difficult waiting for a response regarding your puppy when you have to wait for text messages. Also a contact number for the person delivering the puppy. On pick-up day, I felt stranded. I made it to the location and he was no where. My phone wouldn't work because I was in Amish country and I had no reception. I went into the location and one of the ladies who works there let me use her phone to call PuppySpot. I had to call you several times and finally someone answered. I was disappointed and angry. I asked the staff there and finally someone knew the guy who had puppies. He lived behind the store. Finally, i got my puppy.

Decent
This was my first time using a service like puppyspot. How can you find a reliable breeder online without being scammed? Puppyspot. My dog is beautiful and healthy.
Working with puppyspot was decent. My three stars have to do with inconsistent communication, canned responses and not getting travel details until a week before, which doesn't always mean you can get the time off you'd like to to spend as much time with your puppy.
To improve I would have liked at least weekly updates and the ability to at least ask questions to the breeder.
The transport service was amazing!

Some really great things however, very little follow up after pup purchase
The puppy salesperson, David, was AMAZING. He was a wonderful human being and was extremely available, additionally, helpful in getting info and questions answered from the breeder regarding the puppy of my interest. However, after I actually purchased the puppy on March 5th, I was assured by David that a "puppy manager" would contact me in 7-10 calendar days. I NEVER got any follow up call(s). Up until the day that I was to receive my puppy, I never got a call. I was completely in the dark as to what food to feed, amounts, feeding times. I couldn't get anyone to answer either texts (David) or emails (help@puppyspot) to inquire. I finally got someone on the puppy spot phone line who was able to give me the type of food, but nothing else. I DID appreciate all of the generic emails, the offer for Pet Insurance, and the puppy transport company seemed amazing, kept me abreast and even was able to inform me when they were running late. The one guy, Rory, who I dealt with at the transport company was a VERY nice man and kind and caring of the pups. In short, I AM disappointed in the lack of follow up by Puppy Spot as soon as they get your money. But other things were fairly top notch. So, no follow up, never a puppy manager call, nor info on the food, so that I could buy in advance and prepare. This info ended up eventually being on my personal website account, but it's very hard to know where to find "About my puppy" on the website, because it's not one of the three bullet line items on the far left (so not so obvious to me w/o a puppy manager's call, which again, never happened). The breeder did send some food along, which was fantastic (by this time I had bought some, having found out at last minute when I reached someone on the puppy spot phone line). I felt the paperwork that came with the puppy, including the health check, was VERY GOOD. Overall, I am pleased, but can only give 3 out of 5 stars because there was no follow up contact by way of the puppy manager team, and the sale guy (who told me he would still be available after the sale) was not so. I'm sure there are reasons for these "mishaps," but this is my honest review and assessment of the overall process until I acquired my beautiful puppy (Lucian) who is ADORBS, and seems to be in good health!

pup is great, puppy spot not so much
my pup is perfect, I love her so so much but there’s a few issues with puppy spot that were very frustrating. First she is 18 weeks old now, I paid for her when she was barely 15 weeks old and was originally told i could have her as soon as 5 days, and was also told i would have open communication with the team i had been working with the whole time, after I paid for her, that team was nowhere to be reached, then nobody from puppy spot would answer my calls or messages asking about ANYTHING and if they did they were all very rude about it. I finally received my girl yesterday and was told she would come with a large crate and a bag of food, included in the cost of travel which was $700+ alone, she did not have a crate, so i had to go spend another $150+ on that, and the “bag of food” was a sandwich bag with maybe 2 cups in it and the food she is using is near impossible to find or have shipped quickly. overall, pup is great i love her to death, but don’t take everything puppy spot says as hard truth, as the only things that were accurate was the information from the breeder, none of the promises from puppy spot themselves were upheld.

Awesome puppy. Bad communication…
I’ve been thinking about this review for awhile. It’s not easy to figure out what stars to give because I have ended up with the MOST AMAZING puppy that ever lived. My puppy is more perfect in every way than I imagined; social, calm, potty trainable, beautiful, healthy and so much more. So the end justifies the means right? Well I’m not sure I would recommend PuppySpot bc of the lack of communication for the three weeks I waited to receive him. They don’t answer the phone. The people who respond to emails don’t know your puppy. I never heard from the breeder. No letter no note when he arrived. But when he was on the way the communication was good. The delivery company was professional. He had all of his vaccines. He was not stressed. He licked my face up and down when we met. Listen he is the best gift next to my children, but PuppySpot did not communicate well (or at all) so I feel like I just got lucky. Thank you the breeder who did a lovely job even though I never will have the chance to thank them.

Good til paid
The purchasing of the puppy went smoothly with excellent, enthusiastic service. It went south from there. Poor response of questions, total inflexibility regarding the delivery location no information regarding what type of potty training was started. Disappointing unresponsive lack of service
