I was not impressed with how I received…
I was not impressed with how I received my puppy. She was full of urine and feces. She also was under weight and skittish. She now is doing great. She is a good dog. But I would recommend if you can go a different route to do so. Spent 900$ on delivery and to receive a puppy the way we did was not acceptable. I will not recommend puppy spot to anyone or will I use them again. The only reason they got 2 stars from me was we did end up with a great dog.

As we discussed upon reading this review, we appreciated the feedback on the delivery of your puppy. We would like to apologize for the stinky nature in which she arrived. That's not the first impression we want for a family and their new puppy. Now that she's settled in with your family, we are happy to hear that she is doing great.

Buyer Beware
First off, I didn't know the actual breeder she was coming from until after I secured her. I did a little research on that breeder and sure enough it's a puppy mill. There is a reason they make it so difficult to find out the breeder. On top of that, she came covered in poop from the flight. Then she had an ear infection and giardia from her first vet appointment. Given the amount of money they charge, I would've expected more.

We have attempted a number of times to reach Trey and provide assistance under our Health Commitment. We will continue to do so. We would also like to reassure Trey that the breeder of his puppy - in addition to holding both state and USDA licensing - is held our high standards of breeding developed by our independent Scientific Advisory Board. This can be read about here: https://www.puppyspot.com/puppyspot-standards. We hope to connect with Trey soon to provide further assistance to him and his puppy.

This has not been a great experience
This has not been a great experience. I’ll preface it by saying we love our puppy, thankfully.
Like with so many others, the initial experiences were great, however, it went downhill from there.
After purchase, we were told that there was no travel available in November so I would have to pay an additional holding fee. Spoiler alert: I refused as this was not disclosed to me prior to purchase. They thankfully did let that go.
My puppy, in all pictures, was dark chocolate brown and white. Fluffy, healthy looking and beautiful. I never received a video or updated pictures though the app kept notifying me that new media was available and the reps kept claiming the same thing. New media was NEVER shared.
When o received our puppy, he was not dark chocolate brown and white. He is AMBER and white. The only reason I believe it’s the same puppy is because of a birthmark on his nose that was visible in the old photos. So, it is evident that his pictures were photoshopped to make him look like he was a different color.
He was also skinny and dirty and his coat was matted. When we took him to the vet, he had an ear infection. After reading these horror stories I realize it could have been so much worse. Puppyspot is giving me the runaround about reimbursement by saying that the invoice does not show as “paid” even though I sent them the receipts. We also use Banfield which puppyspot knows full well requires payment at the time of service 🙄
He was so smelly, our groomed washed him 4 times and STILL could not get the smell out on his first visit.
Finally, we received his wisdom panel results and found his dna to be 12.5% “other”. As mentioned in several reviews, these dogs are very expensive, too expensive to arrive in poor condition, not matching descriptions, with illness, and not the breeds as advertised.
Again, we love our puppy, thankfully, but it definitely was not what we expected to get for the price that we paid.

Great idea, poor communication
As with everything there is good and bad. First the good. I was able to look at many puppies online and to choose the one I really wanted. The puppy I chose came to my home healthy and happy. I really believe my puppy came from a good breeder and one that I wouldn't have known about or had access to without PuppySpot. She appears to have had proper veterinary care with documentation. PuppySpot eliminates your risk to all the scams that take your reservation money and never provide an animal. Now for the bad. Way, way way overpriced for the service provided. I was promised great communication and service what I got was long wait times on hold before the calls dropped, no response from emails, incorrect information from the online chat service. Unfulfilled promises and missed expectations. I got a flight number and date of arrival from Puppyspot after I paid, that is about the extent of the useful communication. I had to do my own research to track the plane via FlightAware to find out when to expect the puppy. The only pictures I received were those on the website when the puppy was 8 weeks old. She arrived at 12 weeks old not looking like she did in the previous pictures as one would expect. However, I was told to expect new pictures every 2 weeks and although promised to be coming soon that never happened.
Forget about all the other promises of service and communication, you probably won't get that. I didn't.
If you want to pick your puppy from a very large catalog and get a happy, healthy animal and don't care about cost. PuppySpot will do a good job for you.

I paid $5000 for a puppy advertised as “available today”. I have to wait almost a month now and it is supposedly arriving the day before thanksgiving. Very inconvenient for the price I paid. Dishonest advertising in my opinion.

We regret that we were unable to assist Ms Whitaker in a time or fashion that met her liking. We wish her the best in her search to bring a puppy in to her home. Puppies listed on our website as available today means they have yet to have a family choose them to come home. The actual time for our puppies to travel is then dependent on number of factors, notably a Nose-To-Tail health check and planning the safest method for a puppy to travel.

Fell short of my expectations
From my perspective, PuppySpot does a better job at marketing than it does delivering. My issues center mainly around a lack of communication from PuppySpot employees. When I first inquired about my puppy, I was promptly contacted by a representative who was very helpful. He answered all my initial questions so I proceeded with the purchase. Although he provided contact information which I tried to use later, he never responded to any of my emails or phone calls. Throughout my transaction, I experienced difficulty many times reaching a representative on the phone and the PuppySpot app chat. When I left messages, many times I did not get a call back. One of the issues I had was tracking the promotional Pup Pack included with my purchase. I was told on two occasions that it was ordered, but was not provided a tracking number as promised. It turns out, no such order was processed so my puppy arrived 10 days before the PupPack did. I had to buy the things she needed that I was promised would be delivered before she arrived. Finally, two days before she was to arrive I was informed she had an umbilical hernia. It's very visible so it's something that I should have been made aware of before purchase in my opinion.

Puppyspot provides convenience for puppy-shopping but not much else.
Puppyspot provides convenience for puppy shopping but not much else unfortunately. All the puppies are overpriced considering the fact that they are all just pet-quality puppies, not to mention the exorbitant shipping charges. In my personal experience (of which I had two, 3 1/2 years apart with the second one being worse than the first one) the sales pressure was quite intense to begin with, then they pressured me also to complete the payment right away. And when finally I relented, it turned out that I couldn’t even pay with PayPal as their web site said I could and the sales person had confirmed earlier. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was going downhill from here: three days before the scheduled shipping date, they disclosed that my puppy had an umbilical hernia. Yes, they disclosed it after I had completed my payment, NOT BEFORE! Then after a back-and-forth discussion, they only offered me $200 discount while the cost of fixing the hernia could run from over $1000. As if it were not bad enough, my sales tax on the $200 was not refunded. To make my experience even worse, they COMPLETELY ignored my more than half a dozen phone and email messages in which I merely asked them to get back to me and talk about the issue. In spite of it all, I still think that puppyspot can do better, much better in fact, if only the people running the company are willing to be 100% honest, ethical and scrupulous.
