When adopting a dog I was told he was socialized. He was not. He is very shy, doesn’t like other humans, came with a yeast infection in his ears, and pink eye which he gave to my other dogs. I would NOT recommend puppyspot. It seems they do NOT check that the breeders and are not honest. I love my little guy but VERY disappointed. It seems like I rescued him from a very unsafe situation from his breeder.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand that your puppy’s health and socialization needs have been a challenge, and we are addressing these concerns with the breeder to ensure our standards are met consistently. Puppies often take time to adjust to new environments and people, and working with a behaviorist can help ease this transition and build confidence. We’re glad to know he’s now in a safe, loving home, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue to improve. A member of our Puppy Care Specialist team will be reaching out to further assist you.

Offering a holiday discount to promote animals as gifts is irresponsible and downright dishonest.
Response from PuppySpotNov 7, 2024
We understand your concern about promoting animals as gifts, and we take responsible pet ownership very seriously. Our goal is to connect puppies with loving, prepared families who have been screened by us for suitability and understand the commitment involved. We encourage anyone considering a puppy to think carefully about the lifelong responsibility, and our team is here to ensure every adoption is approached thoughtfully. Thank you for sharing your perspective—it helps us continually improve our approach to matching puppies with the right homes.

I fell in love with my puppy as soon as I saw her. Unfortunately, 3 days after receiving her she began to get sick, and her health quickly deteriorated. I took her to Urgent Care and she was diagnosed with Parvo and needed to be hospitalized immediately. I called Puppyspot while parked in a parking lot crying and trying to look for support as I needed to pay $7500 upfront, less than a week after receiving her. Puppyspot called me 2 days later to ask how she was doing but not to offer a solution to my situation. Luckily I had the funds to pay the hospital right away otherwise she would have died as she was already going into shock. The last of 2 follow up calls was 2 days ago when I was asked to send in the medical records so they could be compared to the Health Commitment, not only did I receive a puppy that was sick and have already spent well over $4000 in medical bills in less than two weeks but I have gotten zero support from Puppyspot. While I understand that it takes 24 to 48 hours for them to contact you, exceptions should be made if it's an emergency. I was also told that if the documents were correct I would only receive up to what I paid for her, which is understandable BUT again I didn't sign up to receive a sick puppy and once she's at home I have no option but to pay the medical bills because we simply can't let her die or suffer. I also never received the vet report prior to her arrival, like I was promised and while in my custody she was never out on the street nor around other dogs. Because of the time frame when she got sick, the doctors said it was either from the breeder themselves or the transport. No family should have to go through the anguish that we've been through the past few days.

We’re truly sorry to hear about your puppy’s illness and the challenges you’ve faced since her arrival. We understand how deeply distressing it must be to deal with such a serious illness so soon after bringing her home. The situation you describe does not align with the standards we strive to uphold, and we apologize for the delay in response during such an urgent matter. Our team is currently reviewing the medical records to assess your claim under our Health Commitment, and we will be in touch as soon as possible to clarify next steps. While our Health Commitment does cover up to the purchase price, we recognize this may not cover all the medical expenses you've incurred. We appreciate your patience and will do everything possible to support you and your puppy through this difficult time. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we will be following up to ensure you receive the assistance needed. Please feel free to reach out if you need anything further in the meantime.
Concerned
Puppy has a very large bump on the top of his head, chaperone said it was not that large when they received him from breeder. It has increased in size during delivery. Very concerned about the puppy’s neurological health.
Response from PuppySpotNov 7, 2024
We understand your concern about the puppy's bump. It's important to have your pet examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible. We hope your puppy receives the best care, and a member of our Puppy Care Specialist team will be reaching out to you.

First, PuppySpot did a great job in "CAPTURING" me as a new buyer. HOWEVER, once the purchase was done, the agent I dealt with, Reynoldo, who said "this is my direct cell #, call me directly and any time, I am your VIP concierge's person for this process. When I had a problem, Reynoldo was NOWHERE to be found. Second, when I got the text confirming my delivery date and time, I IMMEDIATELY texted back to say I could not make that time, 6:30AM. I got no response. I then called 866-229-2559 and spoke to a lady 1st to express the reason as to why I could not make 6:30AM, I can't see in the dark to drive. She kept repeating there was NOTHING she could do, and that our website clearly states we don't have control over this. I asked her to contact the delivery company as my representative for this process, that I paid $3,814.56, for a Shih Tzu puppy. She said there was NOTHING she could do. I hung up and called again and got a guy this time that sounded empathetic to the situation, but STILL DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. I spent 2 hrs. on that day dealing with changing the time to accommodate me not being able to drive in the dark with NO SUCCESS from PuppySpot. I got an email from the delivery company (Premier Pet Transport) confirming my date of 10/30/24 at 6:30AM. I called the company and Travis answered and within 5 minutes he was ABLE to change my date and time to 11/1/24 at 5:00PM and at a closer location for me as well. This is what I wanted PuppySpot to do for me as their client and THEY DID NOT. If you're going to take my money and be the "middle person" you NEED to do whatever it takes to complete the process successfully. Because of this LACK of responsiveness and responsibility, PuppySpot is potentially CAUSING a LOSS of business for its partners (breeders and delivery company). I've had direct communications with the breeder and the transport company, and THEY were the ones that helped make this process a success, NOT PuppySpot. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND PuppySpot, due to this problem. As a follow up to this initial complaint, someone did reach out to me, 11/1/2024, still not knowing that the delivery date and time had changed to accommodate my inability to see in the dark to drive, and tried to justify that their representatives did send in a request to change. Even if they did, it didn't work since ALL the follow up emails and texts from PuppySpot indicated the original wrong date and time (10/30/24 at 6:30AM). She in the end agreed that they should have done better in reaching out to the delivery company to help me, and that these reviews are valuable to show what they needed to be trained on. If it were not for Travis at Premier Pet Transport LLC answering my call and changing the delivery date and time to accommodate my inability to drive in the dark, PuppySpot would have been SEEN and KNOWN as a cheat through my report. They truly got saved by their partners, Premier Pet Transport and the Breeder, Mark. Until this is fixed on PuppySpot's end, I would not recommend them. The puppy is healthy and happy, and the transition was smooth due to the breeder's (Mark) involvement. The transport of our puppy was also smooth due to the continuous communication from the transport team, Chuck and Ryan of Premier Pet Transport. When they arrived at our meeting place, Ryan gave our puppy a bath and then Chuck took a picture of us all and then gave over our new baby. Again, thanks to the breeder (Mark) and Premier Pet Transport (Travis, Chuck, and Ryan) that made this process end up being a success, not PuppySpot.
Response from PuppySpotNov 6, 2024
Thank you for sharing your experience in such detail. We’re pleased that your puppy arrived happy and healthy and that Premier Pet Transport and the breeder were able to accommodate your needs to make the transition smooth. We apologize for the lack of responsiveness and support on our end when it came to changing your delivery time. Ensuring our customers feel supported throughout the process is a priority, and it’s clear we didn’t meet that expectation. While we did submit a request to adjust the delivery time, it’s clear that communication should have been stronger to avoid confusion and give you peace of mind. We’re grateful for your feedback, as it helps us identify areas where we need to improve. We will be addressing this with our team to enhance communication and coordination with our partners. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and we wish you many joyful moments with your new puppy.

I received the wrong dog. And they’re not responding back about the issue. THE WRONG DOG.

My experience was a nightmare and this company does not care about its customers. I was accused of being a breeder and when I went to get my puppy from the airport they missed the first 3 flights and I'm 3 hours away from the airport. They did not help me. They just blamed me for their inabilities. They were very rude to me and after they received my payment communication was a day or not at all. On the plus side I did get the dog that was in the picture. Actually the only nice part of this experience was getting to look at all of the puppies on the site.
Response from PuppySpotNov 1, 2024
We're very sorry to hear about the difficulties you faced during your experience. Missing multiple flights and dealing with limited communication would be frustrating for anyone, especially given the travel distance involved. We regret that you felt unsupported and that our service didn’t meet your expectations after payment was made. We're glad to hear that you did receive the puppy you selected, but we understand this positive note doesn’t make up for the challenges you encountered. Thank you for sharing your experience—we take this feedback seriously and will work to improve our communication and customer support.
