We are in love with our puppy, and the 1st person I talked to was so helpful. I feel the communication was very challenging after I paid.

We have had our Bernedoodle for a week and he’s great and worthy of 5 stars! He seems to have come from a responsible Breeder and his papers and shots were in order. The front end sale by Puppyspot was great and everyone super friendly and responsive. We loved the app and how it provides pics and updates. As most other negative reviews pointed out, it’s all about the follow up and delivery scheduling where Puppyspot fails. The chat line is rarely answered and prepare to wait on hold for over an hour to discuss delivery arrangements. Delivery instructions changed often and reasons usually didn’t make sense. Multiple airline deliveries were changed, usually citing heat concerns and that was understandable. Eventually, these reasons didn’t correspond with the temperatures and again, communications and answers were so hard to get. They changed us to a drive delivery (we were 10 hours from puppy) and that sounded reasonable, but was also cancelled by them over app a few days before the scheduled date, requiring another call and hours on hold to find out what’s happening and we were told they didn’t think the 4 day trip was a good idea…what?? Of course it’s not and not safe. That was the last straw, so I took off work, bought an expensive plane ticket and flew to the destination, rented a one way car and drove our new puppy home. He is a healthy great dog and we love him. If Puppyspot put 10% of the energy on transportation and customer service that they put on marketing and selling, I’d give them a 5. The kicker is you still pay $300 to pick up your own pet. After all we went through and added expense to go pick up the dog ourselves, that was ridiculous. We seldom complain (nor write bad reviews) but I did about that fee and they are “considering” refunding that part of the transportation fee but I doubt they do anything. I hope they read their reviews and fix things…most negatives seem to be similar to our experience on delivery/communication.

Unable to reach customer service at all after trying by phone, email, and chat on their website. Tried multiple times over multiple days. They canceled my chaperone without my consent and drove my dog across the country which I would NEVER have agreed to. It was extremely traumatizing for her to be in a cage for days. The transport originally went from saying I’ll get her “by the end of the day”, to midnight, to 2am, and once I got to the shady Home Depot parking lot in the bad side of town at 2am they told me it would be past 4am!! They also have a guarantee that their puppies are from breeders.. didn’t get to see where she was from until I got the papers… there were multiple google links coordinating this “breeder” as a huge puppy mill.

Excellent sales force. Follow-through and interaction with "puppy concierge" staff needs a lot of work. Poor communication and follow through from them. Service there is not personalized and very difficult to get up-to-date information about shipping arrangements and answers to specific questions. Purchaser is barred from getting information from the breeder. Breeder provided no specifics or personalized information about how my puppy or what experiences or routine the animal had to make transition as smooth as possible. Did get a great puppy.

Communication from PuppySpot during the 5 1/2 week period from the time I purchased my puppy until just a few days before she was due to travel home was nonexistent. I never received updates on my puppy, nor updated pictures. When I finally did hear from puppyspot regarding her final vet check, I was dismayed to learn a 21 week old puppy still tested positive for worms. First red flag. I asked for photos of her living conditions, because I was concerned she was being kept with many other puppies, PuppySpot rep advised me that was not something they could provide. Second red flag. I have another goldendoodle purchased from a small, local breeder. I was able to visit him many times before bringing him home. He’s 5 weeks younger than the puppy I bought from puppyspot. He’s much further advanced than she is. She is much smaller than him. She barely reached minimum weight for her age & breed. I believe She’s had little human contact before coming home because she is very skittish around people. She’s very comfortable with me now, but is still scared of others. She was given a haircut before coming home which was definitely not done by a professional. I assume the cut was done to remove matted hair as I had to cut out multiple matts that still remained on her. The matted hair I cut out was full of sawdust, wood chips, dirt when I unraveled the matts. My groomer said there’s absolutely no way to correct her haircut until her hair grows back out. My puppy was born 1/19/22 & came home 6/18/22. According to her vet records, She was positive for worms 10x from 2/2022 - 6/10/22, which leads me back to my belief that she was kept with many other puppies. The only reason this is not a one star review is that I absolutely love my puppy, despite all of the issues. I will not be a returning customer

I purchased a puppy that the website indicated "I'm ready today". After purchasing the puppy I was told I should receive her in two to three weeks. At the time she was eight weeks old. When I finally received the travel itinerary, her delivery date was a month out. I was hoping to have her for my husband's birthday. I texted (as this appears to be the only way of communication after purchase) and asked if there was anything I could do. Basically no. I offered to pick the puppy up myself and was informed the travel is how Puppy Spot makes money. I suspected they wait until they have several deliveries of puppies in an area, and then make arrangements, My suspicion was correct after talking with the driver. Now then, I have an older puppy who is not well behaved nor anywhere near potty trained. Much easier to teach potty training to a puppy at 8 weeks than 13 weeks. I would not recommend Puppy Spot, They are expensive and deceive the buyer.

This company is crap. We purchased a puppy after a very nice visit with the sales girl. Then suddenly add we paid the money, we couldn’t get updated photos of the puppy we purchased we could not get a so-called puppy manager because every call went to some girls in the Philippines who did not speak English or the dam. Finally I got somebody who spoke English to call me from the company. I expressed my concerns. She said I have three new photos of your puppy I will email them to you soon as we hang up. She never sent them. Weeks are going past. Then finally another person called me and we negotiated a pick up delivery in Waco Texas and they charged us another $400 to do that although we paid for the puppy pick up in St. Louis Missouri. It’s the same damn plane. They just go to different destinations on different days. We drove to Waco Texas. A guy called us saying to be a my airport at 6:15 AM. He said he had other puppies to deliver.I said we are 6 miles from airport and can he drop puppy to us. He said no!! Next morning we we getting ready to leave for airport. A guy over heard us saying what we were doing. The guy walked up saying he was the guy we spoke with. So the SOB was at our hotel and would not deliver our puppy. Went to airport. Very nice pilot and lady with pups. Guess what the twin engine modest size plane contained 87 dog crates!!!! For the price charge for air delivery you can fly to the breeder much better round trip and your puppy is not stacked on other puppies. The breeder was non responsive. Now we are getting a DNA test. Our local vet didn’t think our puppy was the poo-ton we paid for.

My poor puppy arrived in the worst conditions. She had been sitting in her own poop and pee, had a blocked tear duct and contracted giardia. She did not deserve that, I don't know if it came from the plane or later but you should be taking better care of these creatures if you are offering this service. Leading up to her arrival the company was very responsive and professional which made her arrival condition even more shocking.
