The process was odd and felt almost scam-ish / transactional initially. It was difficult to get ahold of customer service at times and not much info was offered about the puppy unless asked for, also not many updated pictures or pet background was offered once again; unless asked for. Overall it worked out and the customer service members were very pleasant. I also found it concerning there was no form of background checks or questions about where the puppy would be moving to. The delivery process worked out ok and they gave frequent updates as the day approached. The two drivers were great and made the process not feel sketchy. The drivers from Premier Pet Transport were Skyler and Chuck, much credit to them for the way they performed the delivery! Overall I’m very happy with my puppy but probably wouldn’t go this route again, simply not my style of puppy adoption. However, everything worked out and went as they said.

Delivery people were friendly and efficient but had trouble spotting us. The Costco delivery site is a poor one,,, multi-entrances, very heavy traffic. We had no way of knowing what the delivery vehicle looked like, and the driver had no way to identify us. My daughter had to stand outside one entrance holding up a PuppySpot blanket before being spotted,

Chuck and Skyler were excellent with the delivery of my Cocoa. They communicated through travel and they delivered Cocoa properly and as presentable as they possibly could under the circumstances. My only complaint is with the breeder themselves bc this poor door was absolutely neglected by whoever was taking care of him which I’m assuming were them. Yes, he is an older puppy (7 months) but this poor baby doesn’t even know his name, his hair is matted, and he cowers whenever someone goes near him. Hes starting to warm up but he’s still very much afraid of people. I am extremely disappointed if this is how breeders take care of older dogs who aren’t immediately taken. People, myself included, pay good money to have these dogs loved and taken care of while they find their forever home. I would imagine this is not a breeder Puppyspot would be doing business with. I am extremely disappointed as a returning customer (I got my first dog, Holly, from puppyspot in 2016). He is warming up, on his terms, which I’m ok with, but it makes me wonder what he endured the last 7 months of his life especially since he doesn’t even know his own name!

When choosing my puppy (JRT) I noticed he appeared smaller that his siblings. I asked if he was the runt of the litter (which was not a problem). I was told he was not. In the video I noticed the puppy was shaking and not moving unlike all 8 of his siblings who were lively, running around and playing like a 6 wk old JRT should. A few weeks after paying for the puppy I asked if I could get an updated photo. I was told photos are updated every 3 weeks. I waited 3 more weeks (4 weeks since the last photo) and asked again. I was simply sent a generic text message saying "We do not have any updated photos". Due to being out of town, they sent the puppy just short of 11 weeks at my request. I picked up the puppy at the airport and immediately noticed how small and very skinny he was. He appeared malnourished was not very alert and his ribs and spine were clearly visible as if just wrapped by skin. On his paperwork his weight was 3.8 lbs at almost 11 weeks and 4.1 lbs at his 1st vet appointment a few days later. He is still very small but does have a good appetite. He had an ear infection and Giardia which is not really a major problem and being addressed by my Vet . This is my 2nd JRT and am just worried about his small size at this age hoping he has no health issues in the future. Other than that, he is an absolute doll. I did like the courteous employee I first spoke to on the phone. I got a different person when asking questions that seemed to give preplanned responses to my text messages and emails. To me it felt like seemed less interested after being paid in full. Would I purchase again ? Probably.....With the given volume of business, I'm pretty sure (hope) this does not happen often.

Never got returned calls. All e- mail. I was calling every day to see when I would get Sophia (which is her name now) and was always put off. On my first call I was told we would get her in 4 or 5 days. It ended up being about 3 weeks.

Fast, helpful communication in response to questions and assistance in transporting our new puppy. Downsides were that we couldn't connect with the breeder directly and didn't have her vaccination info in advance, so we didn't have much info before she got here. She also had fleas, ear mites, a secondary yeast infection, and intestinal parasites when we took her to the vet a few days after she arrived. Our vet said the issues likely came from the breeder. Also, we didn't realize the puppy would be flying commercial by herself on multi-leg trip (she came from Arkansas and flew alone through Dallas and Chicago before making it down to Louisiana). We probably should've read that better in the first place. Overall would recommend but would try to get more info in advance in the future.

Throughout the experience we had trouble with communications. I was told it was because of a migration to a new system internally. Also, one of the people I spoke with said she was brand new. (She was lovely, but not knowledgeable.) Here's how my experience went: I reached out via email with questions regarding one of the dogs. There was a very slow response time (days). Then, the person helping me really couldn't answer some basic questions about the breeder, the puppy, the environment, etc. After I made the selection and paid for the puppy we chose (>$3K), I received a receipt, then there no response as to next steps. At that point, I thought I had been scammed. The timing of communications improved greatly after that. Although, the person helping me continued to lack information about the breeder, the dog's parents, the dog's temperament, the environment, and any training the puppy may receive. In fact, I was misinformed about the brand and type of food the puppy had been eating. (The dog came with a Purina product rather than the fancy brand I was told he was eating). I also purchased the puppy starter kit for ~$180. I was very disappointed in the quality of the blanket (snagged) and bed. No collar (which could be easy to add if you know the breed and age of the dog.) It would have helped a great deal if there had been puppy teething chews included, too. I really like the dog water/food bowl, btw. I requested to return the kit so I could make my own purchases. If you were to make any changes, I might suggest the following: 1. Communication and product knowledge are vital. Ideally, each representative is fully trained and has answers to all questions about the puppy, his parents, temperaments of both, the breeder, the environment the dog has been raised in, etc. This would save many $$ in support time and customer frustration. 2. The Puppy Starter Kit. Provide customized and higher quality items in your puppy starter kit. For puppies, include a starter collar and plenty of teething-focused toys. Screen for quality prior to sending.

They did not keep me up to date on pictures and weight. I understand that it takea a day to answer my questions but as soon as I paid for my puppy it went silent. I also paid for a puppy package for $188. But had to call about that on the 11th and still no response. It is a good thing I did not wait for the contents (bed, dishes for water and food, toys and a blanket). There needs to be better service. That being said the chaperone was lovely and kept me informed the whole trip. And Darcey isabeautiful puppy. We went to the vet the afternoon that she was delivered and she pasted with flying colors. So thank you for a healthy puppy.
