Purchased a dog from PuppySpot back in 2019 without any issues. Fast forward to today and I was approved for a loan, and paid the required deposit. I get an email today to say that they're not able to move forward with the adoption process. No reason why, no nothing. I called to speak with a rep and ask why. I was put on hold and when the rep came back to the phone he informed me a manager would call me back. No one ever called back for hours so I called PuppySpot back only to find out my number had been blocked. I had to call from my other phone and what do ya know. I got through just fine. I will NEVER, EVER do business with this company. I will spread this on social media (X, Instagram, TicTok, and Facebook). You can't treat people this way and get away with it. DOWN RIGHT DISGUSTING CASTILLO SERVICE!!!

While PuppySpot values providing excellent service to its customers, there may be some instances in which we may not be the ideal fit for everyone. We are sorry that you did not have a positive experience, and will do our part to improve our communication moving forward. We do thank you for your time and wish you the best with your puppy search in the future.

No, no, no!
Horrible communications during adoption process. Medical questions asks..."everything is good" more concerned about the breeder than the adoptee/adoptor. Well, the medical wasn't good. My puppy arrived with 4 medical issues, 3 or which required medication and 1 that will need surgery. When you call they try to placate you. Disgusting...I would NEVER use this agency again...go elsewhere, and that's the short of it.

Beware!
This whole experience, with Puppyspot, has been frustrating and maddening.
They do not communicate with their customers. No response to emails or phone calls.
Our puppy was hurt while under their care and there was no communication about his recovery. Finally when our dog was sent he arrived full of parasites and giardia. My two other dogs are now going through treatment.
We thought we were getting an 8 week old puppy but by the time Puppyspot sent him he was 13 weeks old.
The only smooth part of this transaction was them taking my $4000.
Beware

The dog in the photos was NOT the dog…
The dog in the photos was NOT the dog shipped! The chaos at America Airlines in Ft Worth Tx. and being cussed out by breeder when we REJECTED dog to be RETURNED to LAX and the condition of the dog sent was sickening!! The photos were stolen of a 100% European Doberman along with pics of parents!! After almost 5K spent this was a 64th birthday present for my husband and the torment and heartbreak!! I know there are good breeders and a lot of great reviews but BE Careful and Request updated pics before travel arrangements, they can’t hide or lie when photos/ video are up close if what you are purchasing BEFORE you get heart broken and then deal with rejection and making breeder return dog for another 600.00. !! Then take photos to then get your money refunded all DUE to FAKE BREEDER!!!!

We’re very sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially for such an important occasion. We understand how disappointing this must have been and take your feedback seriously.
To clarify, multiple updated photos and videos of the puppy were sent to you directly prior to travel. These materials came straight from the breeder and were not sourced from anywhere else. Our team also spoke with you several times to answer questions and provide reassurance ahead of the scheduled delivery.
When concerns were raised at the airport, we did request photos of the puppy to better understand the situation and assist further, but we did not receive any images to verify your claims. The breeder in question remains in good standing with PuppySpot and has consistently provided healthy, well-cared-for puppies along with accurate documentation and media.
Additionally, we did clarify during your purchase process that our puppies are placed for companion purposes only, and not for breeding or show. We understand that this may not have aligned with your goals, and we sincerely apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
While we regret that this experience did not work out, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and wish you the very best in your search for the right fit.

A Heartbreaking Experience That Could Have Been Prevented
We purchased a Goldendoodle puppy through PuppySpot for our daughter—her very first puppy. Like many others, we were encouraged by the numerous positive reviews and felt confident we were making a safe and thoughtful choice. Sadly, our experience was devastating.
Our puppy arrived sick—diagnosed with three parasites and showing signs of distemper. We followed PuppySpot’s guidelines, getting him to the vet immediately. While the parasites were quickly confirmed, the signs of distemper worsened, and before we could receive the test results, our puppy had to be euthanized due to his rapidly declining condition. It was heartbreaking. Our daughter, who had lovingly cared for him, had to endure the trauma of watching him suffer and ultimately saying goodbye just a few weeks after bringing him home.
We understand that life is unpredictable and sometimes, tragically, puppies get sick. Our issue is not with the loss itself, but with the systemic failures in PuppySpot’s process. There should be stronger health protocols before puppies are delivered to families. A basic "wellness check" from the breeder is not enough. If more thorough testing had been done, our puppy's condition could have been caught early—potentially sparing our daughter the trauma and giving the puppy a chance at treatment.
Even more upsetting was the process of pursuing PuppySpot’s health guarantee. Despite having every piece of requested documentation from our veterinarian, we encountered delay after delay. Each week we followed up, we were told more information was needed—even when we were simply being asked to resend the same documents. Six weeks after our puppy’s passing, I finally refused to hang up until I was transferred to someone who could resolve the issue. Only then did PuppySpot agree to honor their health guarantee, and only after I emphasized that the guarantee was not contingent upon the puppy’s death, but rather the health upon delivery.
What could have been handled with compassion and integrity was instead drawn out, frustrating, and deeply disappointing. This experience has led us to the decision never to use PuppySpot again, nor recommend them to others.
We’ve since worked with a local breeder and the difference has been night and day. We received regular updates, follow-ups, and genuine care and involvement throughout the entire process. While working with a local breeder may require more upfront effort, it provides peace of mind, a sense of control, and—most importantly—an ethical, supportive experience during such a special time.
I hope PuppySpot takes this feedback seriously. The emotional impact on families, especially children, is real. These are not just pets—they are new family members. Every step should reflect that responsibility.

You guys should get of this business
You guys should get of this business, your communication, treatment and lies about your service are hurting innocent animals and well intentioned customers, I will do my best to NOT recommend your service to every social media I can and also the television, how do you people sleep at night? These are live animals, innocent and you treat them like garbage.

The whole process sucked...
The sales was just fine...the puppies do all the selling...everything else sucked...zero communication...people lie...mislead...one of the worst experiences we had in a very long time...I will never buy from this company again...I would not recommend this company to my enemy...we had to do all the calling and texting...once I told this company what I thought of them and the whole process...it got worse...so beware
