We love our miniature schnauzer puppy, Oliver! He’s healthy and already well trained. My only issue with Puppyspot is the issue we had with organizing travel and the lack of updates on his ETA, until we called and emailed.

The dog acts like he is a puppy mill dog. He is afraid of human contact he runs away when you call him and have to chase him down and h then goes flat on the ground and you have to struggle to pick him up. He also refuses to go to the bathroom outside even though we take him outside with our other dogs. The dog food they sent he refused to eat, so we gave him the food we purchased from Stella and Chewy's which he eats very well. He gets along with our other 3 dogs quite well. I think you need to evaluate the breeders as what conditions do they use to raise puppies?

UPDATE (4/20/25): A few days after I got my puppy, he started sneezing and had nasal congestion. My vet diagnosed him with kennel cough, most likely as a result of being around 16 other dogs in the transport. I contacted PuppySpot, and they honored their Health Commitment by covering my puppy's medical costs. Overall, I am quite satisfied with PuppySpot's customer service. My only suggestion is that for those who have the means, have your pup flown to you, or go and pick it up yourself. I was very happy to find my puppy, which would have been difficult without PuppySpot since I wanted a specific breed, color, and age. However, I found it very difficult to discuss my questions with the breeder until the morning I got my puppy. The biggest issue though was the fact that he had been driven in a van for two full days and had to pee and poop in his crate, which really set back his housetraining. I would have flown him instead, but I didn't know that was an option. So 5 stars for helping me find exactly what I wanted, but 1 star for the transportation.

It wasn’t easy getting the information I requested. I really thought some of the questions I asked should have been easy and simple to answer. I feel the entire experience should have been different. The puppy is at least healthy.

appreciated how easy it was to find and adopt our dog, and we’re happy to have him as part of our family. However, I was very disappointed with the condition he was in when we picked him up. Scott (now Leo) was extremely smelly—so bad that we had to stop at PetSmart immediately to get him bathed. When purchasing a pet, I believe they should be clean and presentable upon arrival. There was no indication that he had received a bath prior to pick-up, and we also did not receive a rabies certificate. Additionally,and had to pay extra vet fees as he had early vaccines that were done back to back costing us an an additional $100 plus the bath we had to do which was $60 when we picked him up!

The ovrall proess was good and the transfer for the puppy from the breeder was very well run. SO for the over admin and breeder experience I would give a 5. However, the price of the puppy was way over expectations and other in your industry. So for price, I would give you a 2.

I liked the search tool of the PuppySpot web site that allowed me to search for a dog of specific breed, color, and gender. I would like to have been able to see the dog's location, (city, state) as well. This would help in determining if I would travel to pick up the dog or have it delivered. Also, the PuppySpot representative didn't have accurate information about to breeder's location or about the dog, i.e I was told that the dog had its dew claws removed. When I picked up the dog, I saw that the dew claws were intact. As a note, I almost didn't select this dog because I didn't want a dog that had its dew claws removed.

I’m concerned about the health of my puppy Elbert. He is almost constantly scratching. He can hardly sit still for a minute. I have walked him almost 4 miles the last 2 days so I know he has had a lot of exercise. I just brought him home on Thursday . We are going to the vet on Friday so I hope his scratching can be taken care of.
