Do not go with Puppyspot.
Do not go with Puppyspot. My girlfriend and I found a pup we wanted and made the mistake of going with puppyspot. First off, I think the operator that sold us the animal was on crank. She was so hyper we could barely get a word in. This being said, she was also really friendly, so I do hope she finds work with a more reputable service. So finally done, paid for and we're gonna go drive and pick up the pup on a Sunday right? WRONG, so the Indiana breeders are Amish and wont do anything on a Sunday, I dont give a damn about religous stuff. I paid money, you pony up the damn product. We were first told the puppy was in one city, turned out to be a town and hour plus further away. The Operator we were trying to deal with was a total b-word. So they gave us delivery options, pick up, driving, flying. Amazingly then delivery becomes a flight only option where they were gonna fly him into Lambert Airport, then Ohaire to Lambert, THEN fly him to Ohaire and we pick him up there...driving further than the normal pick up spot....he's 14 weeks old, and close enough that a drive is MORE THAN DOABLE, he doesnt need that kind of stress, no puppy does. First sign they care very little for the health of the animal when it comes to possible profits to be made. So, after a song and dance of them refusing to be flexible even in the least. I work solid monday through friday and my daughter has allergy shot clusters on saturday, so sunday is my only option. Now I have to call off work and do a 12 hour drive in one day. Then the run around with puppyspot, yes thats a great one, so the dates he would be ready for pick up have changed several times, also we were signed up for the puppy shipping via plane, twice, and we never asked for that even once. Im pretty sure at this point they kept clicking it hoping they could coerce us into using that service to make more money off of us. Their snide comments and Idgaf demeanor was beyond what any company should consider best practices. We call to try again to nail down a date and immediately we're told he's being delivered on the 18th and they were going to have to charge us, uhhh the hell you are you crazy nutbag. I also priced what it would cost to ship an animal and it was around 300, and thats with all the bells and whistles, they were gonna charge 2 thousand dollars wondering where the other 1700 was gonna go they kept trying to get out of us would have gone to, hmmmmmmmmmmm. They say that their breeders will travel up to an hour away, then they dont, tell you the pup is in one area 5 hours away, turns out its in another over 6 hours away. You call them and find out neat things about yourself like signing up for crap you didnt want. All the while you get the refreshing feel that you're getting played like a damn video game. Never go with Puppyspot, go with Pawrade, they were cut and dry and even delivered the pet a day earlier than the promised date. Post note. This drive to pick up the animal was made on 1/13/24, huge snowstorm hit the midwest so the 6 plus hours was almost 8 hours one way. I get there to meet the breeder and pick up the animal, only to find THEY SIMPLY DROPPED THE DOG OFF AT THE PET STORE. This was after we had asked "Hey, is there any chance there is someone they can drop the dog off with on Saturday night and we come get him Sunday?". The breeder refused to even be least bit agreeable AFTER we had already purchased the dog......then they drop him off like baggage? Yeah steer way clear of this company, they will try to screw you out of every dime and when they cant, they're hateful about it.
