Misrepresented Documentation
My experience with PuppySpot has been extremely disappointing and unacceptable. The puppy I received arrived with a large, clearly visible scar that was never disclosed in any of the paperwork. Their so-called “nose-to-tail” inspection either failed entirely or was never performed with any real care. The explanation I received was vague and unhelpful, and I was told both the breeder and veterinarian simply “overlooked” a 1.5-inch scar—an excuse that is hard to take seriously. Even worse, the only resolution offered was an apology and a question about what I wanted to happen. This is irresponsible, misleading, and far from professional.

Puppy condition concerning
Puppy delivered as scheduled however despite coming with a vet check from the breeder the puppy’s leg joints are showing signs the puppy may have been kept in a confined space for the first 2 months of his life and lacked exercise. Rear legs are splaying and very loose. Now advised by my vet to closely monitor his leg joint development, provide dedicated leg exercises and if little improvement in next few week X-rays required to identify if there is a genetic issue.
In response to your reply you were happy we connected? Seriously?!?

I thought this would be great but IT WASNT!
I thought this would be a great and easy transaction…it wasn’t. The only positive thing that happened was we got the puppy we wanted but i heard more about pet insurance and over priced food and toys than the actual dog. Never talked to the same person throughout the whole transaction. Ended up tracking down the breeder ourselves just to get info on the dog. Never got vet records or anything from puppy spot. They lied or didn’t have answers to questions we asked. Kept pushing to the next person or said the “executive person” was in a meeting and will get back to you. Paid 3x the amount for the exact puppy on puppy spot compared to breeders price. Waited almost a month for who knows what reason. The dog was ready to travel the day we bought her. And a vet inspection was never done before travel…no one knows why it took so long. Don’t waste your money or time with puppy spot! Deal with the breeder directly!

I absolutely do not recommend…
I absolutely do not recommend PuppySpot. I have several reasons, & the worst will be stated last. First, their prices are SKY HIGH. Unless you're rich, I recommend finding a local breeder. PuppySpot takes a lot of the commission, jacking up prices. Before I go on, I want to say that they use "Premier Pet Transport" to drive your puppy if flying isn't an option, & THAT company is fantastic. They are separate though, & I have a different review for Premier Pet Transport that is 5 stars. Back to PuppySpot - communication is terrible. Multiple times I got texts from PuppySpot; when I replied, they said they didn't get it. When I got an email from them, I replied & they said they didn't get it. The only way I was able to contact them was by calling them, & I hate talking on the phone. Lynne, the first rep I spoke with was kind of abrupt with me. I could tell that the only thing she wanted to do was sell me the puppy. The 2nd rep I spoke with (a man, can't remember his name), was less abrupt, but also only wanted to make a sale. They pressured us to get insurance so that they could get a commission on that as well. They made us promise to not breed, because they only want THEIR breeders, not competition. They sent emails recommending pet supplies that are either useless or actually bad for training (like pee pads & whistles). They refused us access to the breeder; I wanted to see the puppy on a video call & ask questions about him, but PuppySpot would not allow it. (Another reason to go local.) Now the WORST thing they did - I am 99% positive - was not give us the puppy we asked for. My daughter first saw a certain puppy & loved him. For a month & a half, we told her no. Then we came to agreements & decided to get the puppy. He had no white fur on him. However, his brother did. When we got the puppy, this one had the white fur in the exact place that his brother had it. I told my daughter he probably just grew it in since his last picture posted on the website. Then a couple days ago, my daughter wanted to look at the picture of her puppy's brother, & guess what? That puppy had NO WHITE FUR on him. Did it just disappear? The puppy stopped growing a certain fur marking? I don't think that happens. They gave my daughter the brother to the puppy she wanted. She was absolutely devastated. But that puppy was adopted, and the one she got is bonded to her, so there is nothing we can do. It is very upsetting that we did not get the puppy we paid exorbitantly for!

Huge problem with Puppyspot
Huge problem with Puppyspot. They created a barrier instead of facilitating me getting a puppy. One woman had no idea what was going on had to place you on hold for every question and the other was rude when trying to clarify a simple question, how am I getting the puppy. This is very unfortunate because we are not willing to work with this company and it’s really unfortunate that the breeders do not know about this barrier, they are loosing out.

Delivery rip off
I purchased a puppy and was told delivery (yes we opted for door to door delivery) would be 2 to 3 weeks. We received notice as promised that delivery would be in 2 weeks. I called and said that we were out of town that week and asked for a one week delay ( so on the third week of the two to three weeks promised) I was told that there would be an additional upcharge of $200.00. I believe this to be unreasonable as it is was within the 2 to 3 weeks time frame I was originally quoted. Never once was an up charge mentioned. I was then told that there was no deliveries that third week ( first week I was available). And therefore be an additional $200.00 up charge because they were not available to deliver, so $400.00 in total. I have every reason to believe the puppy will be wonderful. Just feel the delivery is a rip off so watch out!!!!
