Well intended organization but the execution was terrible. Very unorganized, and the communication from puppyspot bordered between inaccurate to comical.

Sell you, but NO customer service
Selling process was good and personal but since we made the purchase the customer service has been non existent. When we had questions nobody would get back to us or they send back emails not answering our question with bogus answers. Felt A.I. generated. But.... we get bombarded with email and text trying to sell us more stuff like pet insurance, vet care, dental services, training, puppy food, toys etc etc. More sales, more sales, more sales but no customer service. Disappointing

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad the initial process was positive, but we’re sorry to hear about the lack of follow-up and overwhelming sales communications. This isn’t the experience we strive for, and we apologize for the frustration caused.
Someone from our Puppy Care Specialist team will reach out to you shortly to address your concerns and provide the support you need. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

This isn’t necessarily a bad review
This isn’t necessarily a bad review. This may be a great place for someone who just really wants to “order” a specific type of puppy right away and know they have their shots… and as they repeatedly tell you are from a reputable breeder (except that I don’t know how you know they’re reputable when they won’t tell you the breeder). And so, that’s my biggest issue - transparency. I was interested in a puppy and happy to get someone answering the phone… she was very nice, though all she would tell me is how great they and their breeders are and how I can pay for delivery from anywhere etc. etc. When I asked if I could at least know who the breeders were it was a really sweet “all our breeders are amazing and blah blah”… I continued to ask and was met with a definite NO on pretty much anything except what state she would ship from. In any case, if ordering a puppy and not knowing anything except that you get an online guarantee they are healthy and come from the most amazing breeders that they unfortunately cannot let you know who they are… is good for you, then go for it. I’m sure I’d love the puppy and also for me the process is important too. I’ll keep looking….

Thank you for your candid feedback, it helps to hear consumer concerns and provides important guidance on how we can improve the entire PuppySpot adoption experience. The reason we do not share breeder information is because the breeders are not set up to accommodate direct contact by customers and prospective customers. With that said, we have a task force working on how to provide more specific information about a puppy's breeder to reduce some of the perceived opacity. It is true that all of our breeders are full vetted and audited annually to ensure they are adhering to both federal and PuppySpot guidelines. We also understand that PuppySpot is not for everyone. We stand apart from other options by providing unparalleled choice, a 10 year health commitment, delivery anywhere in the continental United States, and a team of caring experts committed to making the process of adoption as perfect as the puppy itself. We'd love for you to consider us again. We've helped thousands of loving families find their perfect puppy.

Beware - Not a good experience
When I received my 2.1 lb puppy I was provided a food that was different from the food I was told she was eating. When I opened the food I purchased, it looked nothing like what I was given by the drivers. I reached out to Puppy Spot to find out why and they didn't respond, I had to reach out again and they confirmed that I had purchased the right food and that the driver gave me the wrong food. I started feeding her the one I purchased and she developed diarrhea. I then called them to let them know of my concerns. I was told that they needed to research and call me back, I didn't hear anything that day, the next day I received a voicemail checking on her and that they were waiting on the breeder to respond. I called the following day and then received another call from Puppy Spot now a week after I had my puppy and they proceeded to tell me that the Breeder had finally responded and that they had indeed changed the food they were giving her on the 24th? but never bothered to update the information on the website. Puppy Spot basically said they were sorry. I reminded them of the calls and emails that said how important it was to continue to feed her the food she was currently eating and a process to transfer to any new food, but yet I was definitely set up for failure based on the food and information I received. I told them that they claim to review breeders and make all due diligence that I'm not receiving a puppy from a puppy mill. I was lucky that this little baby didn't have more issues, but the experience was unacceptable. If your researching their website for a puppy you know you pay top dollar and I expected a better experience from Puppy Spot (no sense of urgency to respond) and the breeder should have provided the right information and food for this little girl. I don't feel that they cared what happened to her after they were paid. To me that spells Puppy Mill. Hope this honest review helps others.

Thank you for posting on TrustPilot and for the feedback. We can imagine your frustration at what sounds like conflicting or mis-information. It is certainly not our standard of care. Our team will speak to the drivers and the breeder to improve the information dissemination process. One hopefully helpful note: even with the right prescribed foods, puppies are can react differently. If the diarrhea continues we encourage you to work with your vet to try different premium brands. We hope your puppy is doing better, and that you are both happy to be together. Our goal is 100% happy customers and happy puppies. We can and will do better.

Transfer almost didn't happen
Transfer almost didn't happen. Text didn't specify AM or PM . Attemts to communicate went nowhere. We assumed AM.
proceeded to the drop-off area. Just decided to approach a van parked at a corner of an empty lot. The gentlemen showed us that they were given a wrong phone number and were about to leave .our puppy was clean and in super condition. The men were helpful and couldn't have been nicer but it could have ended badly

Thank you for your post. Feedback is really important to us in our quest to be the best at helping people find their perfect puppy. Clearly our communications protocols failed you. We've assigned a team to look at the specific issues and install systems to ensure it does not happen again. And thanks for the note about your puppy's super condition upon delivery, that is our standard.

We are sorry and a little shocked to hear about this. The agreement with our certified breeders and delivery partners is to ensure that every puppy arrives safe, sound, fed, and ready to love and be loved. 99% of the time they do, with the occasional exception of a puppy that stops eating and drinking due to the natural stress of travel. We will speak to the breeder to better understand what happened and get back to you with any pertinent information we obtain. For now, we hope your puppy has happily settled in.

I am truly unsatisfied with the…
I am truly unsatisfied with the information that the breeder provided. We were instructed that Jacob was being fed a special diet of Paw Tree chicken flavored. Wepur hase 2 bags in order to be prepare for his arrival, this is a very expensive food. When he was delivered we weregive a small bag of Purina Pro plan for puppies. He refuses to eat the food that the breeder informed us of.

Thank you for posting on TrustPilot and for the feedback. We can imagine your frustration at what might appear like conflicting or mis-information. We will speak to the breeder. In the interim know that puppies can be a little fickle about what they eat. pawTree is a recognized, premium brand that committed to quality nutrition for both dogs and cats. But it is by no means the only healthy dog food option. We encourage you to try other vet approved brands until you find the one that your puppy prefers. We hope your puppy is doing better, and that you are both happy to be together. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions.

I don’t recommend this service!
When it came to purchasing our puppy, the sales representatives were attentive and helpful. Unfortunately, once we made our purchase, a lot of problems arose.
Firstly, obtaining any information from PuppySpot about the status of our puppy was difficult. The breeders are only required to provide updates on the puppies every week or two. So questions we had, such as their behavior, training progress, size/weight, etc., were not easily answered because PuppySpot didn’t have the information and wouldn’t let you contact the breeder directly.
Secondly, the biggest issue we had was with the travel plans. We were falsely communicated to by many team members about when our puppy was coming. We ended up receiving our puppy almost 6-8 weeks after purchase, even though their website and representatives told us they’d arrive within a 2-3 week timespan. Anyone who has dogs know that the first few months of their life are some the most important as you help shape their development and bond. We missed out on that because of this.
When we contacted their support team, we ultimately received a small refund, but only after being escalated to a supervisor and calling multiple times to find a solution.
It’s unfortunate because the purchase process was a breeze! However, everything else was not. We're happy with our pup, but will purchase our next one directly from an ethical breeder. I don’t recommend using this service.

Thank you for posting, and for the feedback. As hard as it is to hear less than positive remarks, it's critical to our ability to constantly improve our puppy adoption experience. We have heard from other customers that our communication protocol post-purchase is not good enough. We have assembled a cross department team to work on revamping it so that customers never feel alone or without ability to talk with one of our adoption experts. In terms of the travel planning and the delay in puppy delivery, we could have also done better. While our goal is to deliver newly adopted puppies within three weeks of their official adoption, that schedule can be thrown off by the age and size of the puppy (per Federal regulations) and by travel complexities. With that, six to eight weeks after purchase is very unusual and we will be examining what exactly happened. Lastly, to your reference about ethical breeders, all of our breeder partners are certified, having gone through rigorous testing and training to ensure the health and well-being of the puppies and the breeding mother and father. We believe we have the highest breeding standards in the industry, exceeding federal guidelines. I hope you will consider PuppySpot in the future and give us a chance to prove that we really do deliver perfect puppies in the perfect way.
