Very disappointing experience with Pulte Homes’ construction quality and warranty service. My home has had a leak, a persistent knocking noise in the heating system, water hammer in the plumbing, popping drywall screws, cracks in the ceiling, and other signs of shoddy workmanship. Although the leak may have been resolved, I was told I would have to live with the resulting unfinished drywall damage for approximately two months. Pulte also attempted twice to fix the heating-system knock, but the problem remains. They now claim it is out of warranty—even though I initially reported it during the warranty period and their repair attempts were unsuccessful. They have also said the water-hammer issue is not covered. A new home should not have this many problems, and homeowners should not have to repeatedly pursue repairs or accept long delays and incomplete solutions. Based on my experience, Pulte has fallen short in both workmanship and standing behind its warranty. I would strongly recommend that prospective buyers carefully inspect the construction, document every defect immediately, and thoroughly review the warranty limitations before purchasing.

It was not disclosed to us before purchasing home that there is no cold water in the summer months, we never would have purchased knowing that fact. Poor and cheap construction and the staff are trained liars. We are in the process of filing a law suit against Pulte homes for a full refund and damages.

Due to the inflexibility of making a small changes to the countertops design and repositioning of the windows. This cash offer for a home was canceled. Surprisingly this developer has zero flexibility for all owners.

Low Quality

I have been in my home since December 2024. I was in love with my home, but as time went buy we are finding a lot of issues. The lawyer (Rick Sommers ) will not contact us back to establish the HOA, outside appearance of Pulte area is not taken care of and looks terrible. For the money spent on our home - I should not have to look at a overgrown pond or a lawn area that has not been manicured. The appearance of this area makes the cul-de-sac look bad. Do thorough homework before purchasing a Pulte home.

Pulte Buyers Beware! FYI - We are dealing with a major plumbing issue in our Pulte Bell Tower model home that never should have happened in the first place. What should have been a simple $20, 20-minute repair turned into a $1,720 nightmare because of how the home was constructed — and the “proper” long-term repair is estimated at OVER $3,000. The issue? A tiny pinhole leak in a plumbing coupling hidden inside the wall. Normally this would have been an easy DIY fix but we have been without water 2 days now. But because Pulte used plastic plumbing components embedded directly into the concrete slab with little to no accessibility, the repair required chipping away concrete just to reach “good” PEX piping. The entire setup appears to prioritize cheap construction over long-term serviceability and homeowner protection. To make matters worse, Pulte Homes refuses to take accountability now that the warranty period has ended — despite this clearly being related to construction quality and design choices. They took all our information, had us submit photos, promised a supervisor would review the case, and then completely stopped communicating. We can’t even get a supervisor on the phone now, and nobody will return our calls. What makes this even more frustrating is that this is NOT our first plumbing issue with a Pulte home. During the warranty period in our previous Pulte home, we experienced another major internal plumbing leak that went from the second story all the way down to the first floor. At some point this stops looking like “bad luck” and starts looking like a pattern. Both plumbers have stated this is not to code. People spend hundreds of thousands of dollars expecting quality construction and accountability from a builder this large. Instead, we are left paying thousands out of pocket for problems that stem from poor construction decisions and inaccessible plumbing design.

really bad quality home, multiple issues with new construction home. Flooring: they used vynel, which started peeling out with in 3-4 month. yes they have warrently for 1 year in flooring. but after one year, they will not help. I have some area, which they repaired at 8th month and they are again peel in next 4 month. now they are saying that flooring warrantly is expired. Dry wall: really bad design, they put dry wall above bath tub, kitchen sink. so that area start absorbing moisure. after 2 years, I fount mold near to bath area. I have to replace whole wall and put tiles their at my own expense. my next home, defiantly not Pulte home.
