Readers don't actually read your book. They cheat and just look at the other reviews. Secondly, they don't give you any heads-up about charging you a renewal fee. Most vendors send an email to tell you your subscription is coming up for renewal but Pubbly doesn't. They just want your money.

I've been waiting over 2 months for Pubby to find a single reviewer for my books. Their customer service said it was because 'readers' needs and interests change'. I'm tired of reviewing other books, and then they can't verify my review, so I lose all my 'snaps' and go into negative snaps again. They won't give me a refund. Honestly, this website is terrible.

Pubby allows reviewers who consistently downrate LGBT books, and offers no meaningful escalation path for authors. I reported a reviewer who repeatedly gives my LGBT affirmation coloring books 2-star ratings while not reviewing my non-LGBT books this way. Pubby’s chat support confirmed they “could not corroborate the issue,” and no meaningful escalation was offered. I’m sharing this so other LGBT authors understand how the platform handles this type of pattern.

DO NOT...I REPEAT... DO NOT give them your credit card information. We give our credit card information to businesses online in good faith. Pubby is where that faith runs dry. I tried the typical one week free subscription with intention to set up their monthly $30 payments if things looked okay. At the end of that trial they charged $240 for a year's subscription, but my bank blocked it and I set the payments to monthly. I am always going to give a business the benefit of the doubt. I assumed I clicked something incorrectly and moved forward with the monthly fee. I made sure I was formally subscribed to the monthly subscription. BUT. I was charged $240 again for the year and this time, unfortunately my bank did not block this payment. This is theft! I canceled my account. Trust can never be rebuilt. Fortunately authors have other tools online like Book-bounty and revvue.co. I expect this company won't last much longer.

Terrible customer service. Every interaction I've had has been terrible, including them attempting to charge my credit card for services I never requested. I switched to the monthly plan and they charged my card for the annual plan. I wrote to them about this and the reply acknowledged that their system will charge people even in circumstances where someone changed their plan. This is literally fraud. Further, they are not compliant with Amazon's Terms of Service. I received reviews from people who clearly never read my book, talking about plots and characters when the book had no plot nor any characters.

Low quality backend and terrible customer support

What Garbage, the people that use the site are also authors, you read their garbage and review , I post my books, they don't even download nor read and make speculations of what the book is based on the books description and write a poor review because they are jealous or the book in an inferior product to theirs? i don't get it, but do not waste your time, poor experience and the owners could careless how to encourage people o actually read the books and give hones non chatgpt reviews.

I used this website a year ago and stopped because the service was poor. I wrote new s books and returned to Pubby unaware of other sites. Upon my return I purchased 3 or 4 books and performed reviews. They complained that I didn't do the reviews. I provided proof and they blocked me from their site. I was really surprised. I can't recommend this site.
