We understand the disappointment that can happen when you don’t pass your exam. But keep your head up – IAPP exams are hard! In fact, they have only ~70% pass rate across all test-takers. You will get it on your next attempt.

Multiple grammatical errors and irrelevant facts in the flash cards. I felt that the exam questions did not prepare me for the actual exam. The cheat sheet provided misses a LOT of what the exam tests for and the summary is not adequate in comparison to other CIPP/US study tools and applications. Highly disappointed so far as my expectations were not met. Although the passages are easy to read and convey to the audience how the IAPP exam should be taken, I feel as if the exam tools are out of date.

Hi Branden - We are sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with us. With the breadth of the material covered on each IAPP exam, our courses will by necessity cover some areas that will not appear on the specific 90 questions that any specific test-taker will experience. Likewise, our cheat sheets are intended as high-level overviews of the material, with the most important points pulled out; they are not intended to address the specific details that are often tested on IAPP exams, which we cover in detail in our other course materials. We also comprehensively update our courses once a year to make sure that they are always fresh and up to date. But we appreciate the feedback, as we are always aiming to improve our courses. We are open to hearing more specific details about your experience, if you are willing to provide them. We can be reached at [email protected]

This class is very thorough which is not what I expected or wanted. I wanted a class targeted towards passing the exam. I did not want extra information since its quite a bit we need to know already. I wanted a class that is giving me exactly the right amount of info and maybe even some help in regards to passing the exam (what type of question requires what kind of answer stuff.) This class is not that. I also did not appreciate the fact that is just page after page of "dry" information that you have to take in staring at a screen. There are no videos and very few interactive tools. The exam HQ is nice and helpful and the class is great information about privacy in general but it did not help me to pass the test.

Hi EB - Thank you for your feedback. Our courses follow the Body of Knowledge released by the IAPP. We agree it's a lot of information that IAPP requires you to know. Complicating that is some IAPP questions ask about seemingly irrelevant minutiae on a given law or regulation. We do our best to strike the right balance between being comprehensive, without being exhaustive. We include a "quick reference cheat sheets" in our courses in an attempt to distill the more detailed discussions into the most important points. We are sorry to hear that you did not pass your exam. As stated in our terms and conditions, anyone that completes a course in its entirety prior to their actual exam and for some reason does not pass the exam on test day is entitled to a refund. If you qualify, you can request a refund at [email protected].
