Extremely Disappointing and…
Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with Prestige Home Warranty. My experience with this company was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. After filing a claim, I was treated as though I had done something wrong and was actually accused of making a fraudulent claim. Rather than listening to my concerns and attempting to resolve the issue professionally, one of the managers, Allen, was extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. His manner of handling the situation was completely inappropriate for someone in a management position. What made the experience even worse was feeling as though I was being threatened with legal action simply because I questioned the handling of my claim. Customers should not be made to feel intimidated or treated like they are doing something wrong when they are simply trying to use a service they paid for. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Prestige Home Warranty to anyone. In my opinion, the way this company handled my claim was unacceptable and left me feeling that my money was wasted. By contrast, I have had a much better experience with American Home Shield. They actually listen to their customers, communicate professionally, and make you feel like they are trying to help rather than intimidate you. Save your money and think twice before choosing Prestige Home Warranty. I would not use this company again.

We’re sorry that you were unhappy with your experience, but we believe some important context is missing from this review. Your service request was submitted immediately after the initial 30-day waiting period had ended, during the very beginning of your active coverage. Because of the timing of the claim, we requested reasonable documentation showing that the item was in proper working condition when coverage became effective. This was a request for verification, not an accusation that you had committed fraud. Our service agreement clearly states that covered systems and appliances must have been in proper working order as of the effective date and that pre-existing conditions are not covered. Requests for documentation in situations like this are part of our responsibility to properly review claims and determine eligibility under the agreement. We were willing to review the requested documentation and continue evaluating the claim. Instead, the conversation became hostile and included repeated profanity toward our staff, after which you elected to cancel your coverage. We fully respect every customer’s right to share their experience, and we also believe reviews should fairly reflect the complete circumstances. We would simply ask readers to understand that the claim was not denied merely because a claim was filed. We requested supporting documentation because the issue was reported immediately upon the coverage becoming active. We remain committed to handling claims fairly and according to the terms agreed upon by all of our customers.
