I've been going to the Potbelly located at Rush & Grand Street in Chicago for the last 4 months. I initially the service was okay. However the last 3 times that I went in, the staff were very unprofessional. The manager Kiara comes in when she is not on the clock and just sits around talking loud with the other lazy staff behind the counter. Last Thursday there was only one staff behind the counter. She was talking on the phone to her "fiance" when I arrived. I had to wait 7 minutes for her to hang up and take my order. I sat in to eat. 2 other staff came from the kitchen and the 4 of them laughed loud used profanity as if I were not there. The lobby was filthy , by the way. I brought it to the nappy head managers attention, ( the one who never combs her hair). She just puts a scarf on and comes to work. They ignored me and kept on socializing. I went in again today, 9-25-26. Kiara took her time preparing my sandwich. The whole staff needs to be retrained or fired altogether. I'm sure they are turning away customers with their behavior. Your managers are not professional nor mature enough to run "Potbellys" restaurant. I am African American myself. Please send spotters to check and see what is going on for yourself. I plan to not return, because I fear that they will tamper with my food.

The food is excellent but why does the sandwich shop I want to order from always reset to one with no parking, difficult access and a real pain in the ass to use?!? FIX IT!

The owner of this establishment Brent, is a horrible human being to work for. He will fire you for his mistakes, he is always firing someone so that he can throw the blame as to why the business is doing bad, when at the end of it all, it is his bad decision making that is causing the business to suffer. If you like supporting an owner that takes advantage of its workers and provides no worker benefits, keep buying food here.

Potbelly Location: 4207 N Harlem Ave Norridge, IL 60706 I placed an online order at 12:09 PM and was given a pickup time of 12:23 PM. When I arrived, my order wasn't ready until 12:45 PM—22 minutes after the promised pickup time and 36 minutes after placing the order. What made the experience even more frustrating was that there were six employees working, yet the delay was still significant. The whole reason I ordered ahead was to save time, but I would have been better off walking in and ordering at the counter. If the pickup times shown online aren't realistic, they shouldn't be displayed as if they are. This experience completely defeated the purpose of ordering ahead. Very disappointing. Never again.

Before I get started, I would like to mention that I never write reviews, let alone bad ones, but my husband and I's experience at the Ogden Potbelly's deserves one. I had never heard of this place before, but it's currently nurses' week (May 6-12), and I saw on a couple of nurse freebie websites that Potbelly's had a free cookie voucher I could get. Also, this place was next to Swig, where I claimed a free 24-oz drink right before for National Nurses Day (on May 6). Once my husband and I were at the drive-through, I asked the employee if I could get the free cookie for nurses' week. She said, "I'm sorry we're not doing that," and we felt awkward, so we decided to order sandwiches, thinking I could prove my case at the window. Also, a side note, I tried to order like 3 different things on the menu, but she told me they were out of all the orders I wanted to try. So, I decided to just get a turkey sandwich, and my husband got the Italian. Once, she gave us our sandwiches, I went to show her a couple of websites that proved my case about the cookie, but she handed us the food quickly and closed the window before I could say anything. Another complaint: when I opened the package, it was so disappointing. My sandwich looked NOTHING like the picture at all, and it tasted honestly bad. It was also like 40 bucks?? for two sandwiches, which I expected to be high-end to match that cost. To make matters worse, my final complaint - my husband and I couldn't sleep through the night because we both had stomach upset. Very unsatisfied customers, we will not be going back to this place, and do NOT recommend it to anyone.

Always a great experience with the staff and freshness of the food. I frequent our closest location, when I am in need of quick and fresh sandwich.

I ordered the "Prime Rib steak". I dare you to scientifically test it... to see if its meat - pale "banquet brand" microwave Salisbury - meat . and the fake food science chemical GRILLING flavor compound lasted and burped for hours to make this horrible visit - last all day.. the meat product glue was holding well though.. quality I thought was there .... I was wrong "insert any image of actual prime rib"

The rib eye steak sandwich was too seasoned and the employee forgot to give me the side sauce I requested. I will not frequent them again.
