Great service but poor customer service
Postmark has honestly been a bit of a mixed bag for me. On the positive side, the platform itself is genuinely excellent. The backend is clean, intuitive, and very easy to use, even if you're managing multiple servers or transactional streams. Setup is straightforward, the interface makes sense, and—most importantly—the actual mail delivery has been relatively flawless in my experience. Messages go where they need to go, quickly and reliably, which is exactly what you want from a transactional email provider. Pricing is competitive too, which makes the whole package look very appealing on paper. Unfortunately, where Postmark falls down badly is customer support. I recently lost access to my 2FA codes—completely my own fault, I’ll own that. But what followed has been one of the most frustrating support experiences I’ve had in a long time. My initial attempt to get help was met with an irritating AI-driven email bot that repeatedly failed to verify information I was providing, despite me using the email address already associated with the account. After eventually getting escalated to a human, I provided what I’d consider more than enough evidence to prove account ownership: credit card details, invoice numbers, server/account information—you name it. Only then to be told that apparently a "manager" would need to reset the 2FA. That was nearly two weeks ago. And still… nothing. At this point, what should have been a relatively straightforward account recovery process has dragged on to the point where I’m genuinely considering cancelling the automated payments through my bank and moving to another provider altogether. Which is a real shame. Because the actual product is good. Really good, in fact. But even the best platform becomes difficult to justify if support feels this slow, outdated, and disconnected. In an era where account access issues should be handled efficiently and professionally, this experience has felt oddly prehistoric. Great system. Great deliverability. Fair pricing. But customer service urgently needs serious improvement.
