This was an extraordinary trip. From the very beginning ( being met at the Moscow airport) to the very end (being escorted all the way through check-in and up to security at Moscow airport) Poseidon Expeditions did a truly superb job. The Expedition Leader (Jan Bryde) was exceptional and the rest of the staff was equally knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I will recommend Poseidon Expeditions to anyone without reservations.

A must for the brave! Crew were very acknowlable on the North Pole trip, answered questions, laughed, shared and where willing to help with anything. Loved the bears, plunge, lunch on the ice beside the ship..could go on and on great trip!

Great trip to North Pole with I/B 50 years of Victory, Poseidon Expedition!!!

Fantastic Destination. Luckily we had nice weather so that we saw a lot of wildlife during our trip. The ship was good and the Crew extremely friendly. The expeditions staff members were very good and especially the expeditions leader made the best out of this journey.

Traveling to a remote difficult to visit area of the world, we were prepared for less than ideal cabin comfort, good but not great food, and limited services. What a shock! Our cabin was comfortable and spacious. It included a small fridg, a safe, a bath robe and slippers, ample closet and drawer space, a couch and chair, and we could close out the never setting sun with blackout curtains and ability to close the three portholes. Our cabin was attended to 3 times a day. They are determined to keep your cabin perfect. Choose from three entrees off a menu which includes multiple dessert offers. Considering serviceing a captive audience the price of alcohol was very reasonable. Afternoon tea at 4:00pm daily-- scrumptious array of finger sandwiches and pastries. A spacious and comfortable lounge with 24/7 coffee and tea (10 combinations of coffee allowing for desirable strength). An entertainer playing a guitar, keyboard, piano, and sings. Top of the line Muck Boots in your size to wear on shore excursions. Fantastic top of the line warm parkas to wear and keep. Spacious comfortable meeting room with four 50" monitors to assure no bad seats. Two lectures daily from geologists, glaciologist, biologists, historians, ornithologist, and the leader with daily recap and next day's schedule, plus why we are going there and what we will be looking for. There is a doctor on board, several bar tenders, 24/7 front desk, information board (with map of voyage, stickies of where we have been, Passengers countries of origin, and daily schedule). The daily schedule is on your cabin TV.. A 15 minute reminder ahead of each event is announced on P.A. Each of 12 zodiacs take up to 10 people on shore expeditions. Transfer from meeting place in Longyearbyen to ship and transfer to hotel or airport post trip. The obvious emphasis and priority of Poseidon is safety and consideration of animals and environment. However, every effort was made to find and safely observe animals and landscape. We have been on four cruises all were fantastic and we highly recommend them. However, this staff is exceptional. It was obvious to all 100 passengers that each staff member was dedicated to making sure our trip was "perfect". And it was! We have nothing, but praise! How could it be improved, it can't. 60% of Svalbard is covered with glaciers, it seemed like we saw them all-- at times glaciers at 360 degrees. Glacier carved islands, mountains, cliffs, etc. Bird rookeries, Walrus Colonies, Fin Whales, Bearded Seals, and we saw 14 Polar Bears in four different locations. We were going to the Antarctic on a cruise included with South America. We will now being going with Poseidon on the Sea Spirit

10 days adventure with different topics in the arctic region. Polar bears, Walrosses, birds, plants and great landscape views included. Yes, you need to be flexible to join the Zodiac trips. Polar bears show up independent of expected schedule. It's definitely worth! The staff does everything for the audience to get best experience and great fotos

Diverso dalle Svalbard e dalla Groenlandia, il paeseggio è più "dolce" e rilassante, probabilmente perchè le montagne, più antiche, sono meno alte e dai profili più arrotondati. Il ridotto numero di passeggeri sulla nave , consente di assaporare appieno le esperienze sia relative al paesaggio che agli animali ed ai siti storici. Alcune lectures possono essere migliorate. L'ospitalità sulla nave è eccellente.
