Overall a fantastic trip
Overall a fantastic trip. The ship was very nice with spacious staterooms, comfortable public rooms and great food. The weather was kind to us, so we made landings at most of the selected places and a couple of extras. The staff were terrific, and the expedition staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The landings on the Falklands and South Georgia were fantastic – great wildlife, spectacular scenery and reminders of history in the whaling station remains etc. The Falklands were particularly interesting to me having been there 30 years ago and I was able to retrace my steps both in Stanley and West Point Island. It is difficult to fault the trip. The only criticism of the ship was the synthetic bedding. We would much prefer cotton sheets and pillow cases, and a double duvet. It was also a shame that the nice parkas we were provided with were made virtually useless after the cruise by the large advertising embroidery on the back - save yourselves some money and please your guests by dropping the embroidery.
