Portland Leather Goods was founded in 2015 when Curtis Matsko began crafting leather goods in his Portland garage with a simple goal: create beautifully simple, high-quality leather bags at a price people could actually afford. What started as a one-man project has grown into a global community of leather lovers, artisans, and repeat customers who believe great design should be accessible.We specialize in simply designed leather bags and accessories, including crossbody bags, tote bags, backpacks, wallets, journals, and everyday carry essentials. Our focus is on clean lines, functional design, and real leather that looks, feels, and smells like leather should.We source our hides from the beef industry, giving materials that would otherwise go to waste a second life. Our leather is tanned in award-winning facilities that prioritize environmentally responsible practices. Because our bags are made from real leather that is not synthetically coated or painted over, natural markings such as spots, grain variation, and occasional scars are part of what makes each piece unique.We own and operate our artisan workshop, The Studio, in León, Mexico, located near two of the most respected tanneries in North America. This close partnership allows us to maintain high standards, reduce environmental impact, and build long-term relationships with the people who make our products.Today, Portland Leather Goods continues to grow through word of mouth and a loyal customer base who appreciate simple design, durable materials, and accessible pricing. A great little purse
Blue is my favorite color and this little cross body did not disappoint. Holds my wallet and phone but doesn't get in the way. Perfect for me since I am currently in a wheelchair.

These bags are exceptional
These bags are exceptional. My first purchase was made online, and after having the opportunity to visit the store in Oregon, I purchased another one. Both bags are of outstanding quality, with premium leather craftsmanship that immediately caught my wife’s attention. I highly recommend this store—its products exemplify excellence, and any discerning customer will be more than satisfied.

Pretty and petite!
So many beautiful colors and styles to pick from! My purse is the smaller version, and it is perfect for me! It is in the cobbled leather. I also ordered the canvas liner bag and it fits perfectly with many spaces to put your things. I would recommend these bags to anyone for quality and price! Thanks Portland Leather!

Beautiful products at amazing prices - their marketing team is impressive
I’ve now placed 2 orders via the PLG website. Amazing products, and transactions have been pretty seamless both times. I’ve also reached out to customer service when they launched a sale literally hours after I placed an order, and they were able to quickly rectify the situation to my satisfaction within a reasonable timeframe. Their marketing is borderline aggressive (in-game ads, social media banners, emails, texts) but highly effective. I belong to the Portland Leather Insiders group on Facebook, and the PLG social media team does an amazing job of engaging the community via updates, sweepstakes, giveaways, etc. I only wish points could be earned on Treet (the resale platform PLG partners with) and physical store purchases. PLEASE bring a store to the New York metro area - better yet, Long Island, New York! Amazing untapped market if you guys are looking to expand to this part of the states!

Hands down best purses made!
This company has wonderful made products! I enjoy the different leathers used and textures as well as the large choice in color of bags! Customer service is impeccable!

This company is THE BEST
This company is THE BEST! I first "met them" on Tanner Leatherstines (sp?) Instagram page where he tore one of their bags up to see how legit they are. THEY ARE LEGIT...HIGH QUALITY LEATHER and high quality handcraftmanship...I've been hooked ever since! Easy and accessible customer service and bags are gorgeous!
