I like the koala purse
I like the koala purse, but the crossbody strap is not long enough.

Portland Leather Goods was founded in 2015 when Curtis Matsko began crafting leather goods in his Portland garage with a simple goal: create beautifully simple, high-quality leather bags at a price people could actually afford. What started as a one-man project has grown into a global community of leather lovers, artisans, and repeat customers who believe great design should be accessible. We specialize in simply designed leather bags and accessories, including crossbody bags, tote bags, backpacks, wallets, journals, and everyday carry essentials. Our focus is on clean lines, functional design, and real leather that looks, feels, and smells like leather should. We source our hides from the beef industry, giving materials that would otherwise go to waste a second life. Our leather is tanned in award-winning facilities that prioritize environmentally responsible practices. Because our bags are made from real leather that is not synthetically coated or painted over, natural markings such as spots, grain variation, and occasional scars are part of what makes each piece unique. We own and operate our artisan workshop, The Studio, in León, Mexico, located near two of the most respected tanneries in North America. This close partnership allows us to maintain high standards, reduce environmental impact, and build long-term relationships with the people who make our products.Today, Portland Leather Goods continues to grow through word of mouth and a loyal customer base who appreciate simple design, durable materials, and accessible pricing. Our business is built around people, from our artisans to our customer support team to the community that proudly shares their bags every day.

It wasn’t great because I received the wrong purse - it was close but wrong color and leather! I wanted zipper also but did not get it - I may have missed that box to check but definitely wrong bag! Cute and comfy but still not what I wanted

Really need to work on their customer service There is no phone number as far as I can find & so far no response from an email sent 3 days ago I don’t believe that is anywhere near good customer service It’s totally turning me off to any future purchases or recommendations If you have an issue I feel you are out of luck

Minus two starts for the condition my purchase was in - boots were not new, had wear and tear. Scuffed in the front of one boot, cracked on each side of another, dirt underneath on the sole. It was a Christmas gift and it took them 4 days to get back to me and the boots were sold out. Very disappointing. I am giving 3 stars because they did end up just refunding me without having to return the item, which was very convenient, and good customer service. I don't think I will trust the quality of this brand again but at least they were fair in the resolution.

I bought a black crossbody bag. It looks beautiful and appears well made. Smells like leather as it should. However, I wore the bag for first time on a trip to casino. At end of day, I discovered the black dye had rubbed off all over my light colored shirt. I looked like I had been working on a tractor! I have no idea if the dye will come out of shirt or if there is a way to prime the leather to stop the black dye from transferring to my clothing. So I won’t order anything else from this company.

Third time trying to get this out without being “cutoff”. If you notice there are many ads on FB and other social media that looks very similar to these ads. Not the ad content itself, but the way it’s written “shop now”, etc. And the merchandise looks phenomenal… usually for a lower price. The MAJORITY of the reviews all have several complaints in common: 1: The order arrives a minimum of 2 weeks after the date you placed it. 2: the item doesn’t look the same and the quality is…cheap. 3: There is no access to a return policy AND/OR not only do you have to pay return shipping but a return fee and restocking fee. So, I took a look at 3 companies, not this one…yet (just put item in cart:))by doing the following: A-read reviews on their site and reputable “review” sites. 92% said the same 3 things as above. B-Once I found the ACTUAL name of the company, I googled them. For 1, I’m still trying to find name/site. Once on the site I look for a published return policy, a published mailing address (then separately search address and company name for a match) and legit phone number…and I called it. D: I sent emails to all 3 (once and IF I found an email address) asking them to tell me their return policy, are there things they won’t accept how is the return reimbursed and how long does it take. Clearly the one was out, we’ll call them orange. The next company (Blue) had no return policy on website, an international phone number and no “contact” or email. I went around that through google and got a general email. I requested return policy, contact info and address. That was 3 weeks ago AND 4 follow ups… “Would you please answer above?” I received no response. The 3rd company Red…was very similar to Blue yet I did get a phone number. There was an immediate language barrier but we managed to meddle through. I could return my product (never asked for an order #, dates…ANYTHING) to a company in the far east by going to post office (he informed me that a 2lb package would be roughly $80USD). Furthermore, IF Red company decided it was NOT the wrong size (my complaint) my purchase price would not be refunded and I would be charged an additional $25 for a “convenience fee”! SMH!!!! I would not EVER order from these companies. I’m sure there are exceptions…but if it looks to good???

My 3 star review is for their return policy. Basically, do not buy shoes from PLG. They definitely run small! There was a leaflet with the shoes saying they may feel snug but wear them for awhile and they will stretch out. Well, I wore them and they are still tight, so I went to return them, and was surprised when I realized I could not return the shoes if they had been worn whatsoever. So now I have a $100 pair of shoes that don't fit and I can't return.

The other reviewers were right about their customer service. They have no telephone number where they can be reached. There is nowhere on their website where you can write a review of their products. It seems all their reviews are overwhelmingly positive (rather suspicious in retrospect). I bought 2 handbags from them at different times. They seem to be okay (although the stitching could be smaller) but I tried to contact the company about a strap problem with the second handbag via email. I got an automated response that someone will contact me. It has been a week and I still have not received a response. I probably will not buy from them again.
