Ordered a mystery box back at the beginning of July. Haven’t had any update on shipping. Just crickets. Communication is trash. Have gave the email address, screenshots of order number and my address . Got a generic response about “going viral”. I’ve ordered stuff from Temu that has got to me faster. Have asked for a refund..also crickets. It’s a shame. I was looking forward to getting my first ever mystery box from y’all but guess I’ll just have to cut my losses and go to a different company.

Do not waste your money
Do not waste your money! I paid almost $70 for a box of random unusable items that looks like it came from the dollar store. Also, it took the company almost 2 months for me to receive my box. Horrible service & a waste of money.

Scam
Scam! BE CAREFUL! They will not send your orders! I have been waiting for my packages since July 7! Heidi from Support has been giving me the same excuse week after week about delays, then bad batch of boxes, then being a priority shipping, then completely stop responding to emails and phone calls. I have been extremely patient until recently when they just stopped responding, which was about 2 weeks ago now. I ordered 2 boxes and never sent, never received, but they have my money!

Extremely Disappointed With the…
Extremely Disappointed With the Shipping and Customer Service
I placed an order with Porch Pirates Mystery Boxes on July 9 and was initially given a delivery date of July 16. I understood that their business model could potentially involve longer processing and shipping times, so I was willing to give them some grace. I also took into consideration the severe summer weather that the Midwest has experienced and allowed plenty of time for a reasonable shipping delay.
Unfortunately, what followed was not a reasonable shipping delay. It was a complete lack of meaningful movement on my order.
After the original expected delivery date came and went, I contacted customer support and received explanations about the Shop app supposedly providing an incorrect delivery date. From there, the explanations and excuses continued, while my order continued to sit without being shipped.
Eventually, after I made it clear that I expected a full refund if the order could not be shipped, I finally saw movement on July 28, 19 days after placing my order. I was told that my box had been picked and was awaiting delivery to the post office.
That should have been progress. Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
I later discovered that my “boxes” had apparently been packed on July 28, but I was not made aware of that until August 13. As of August 20, I still have no meaningful tracking movement showing that these boxes have actually made their way to the post office or are on their way to me.
At this point, I have to question the entire shipping operation.
These are not international shipments. The company is located in the United States. I have ordered products from China through Temu, a company notorious for taking the scenic route through approximately every available shipping method known to humanity, and I have received those orders in less time, then that of this company
Meanwhile, I cannot get an order placed with a U.S.-based company on July 9 to actually make its way into the postal system by August 20.
That’s not a minor delay. That’s a business process problem.
And while we’re discussing the products themselves, there is another serious concern. Overstock merchandise can include perishable, damaged, discontinued, or otherwise unusable items. That is understandable given the nature of this business model. What is considerably harder to accept is waiting an unreasonable amount of time to receive merchandise that may ultimately arrive damaged, expired, perishable, or unusable in the first place.
I have been exceptionally patient with this company. I allowed for their business model. I allowed for possible processing delays. I allowed for weather. I allowed for the possibility that things simply take longer than they would with a traditional retailer.
What I did not expect was to still be waiting more than six weeks later for an order that apparently has not even made it into the hands of the post office.
At some point, “shipping delay” stops being an explanation and becomes a reflection of how the business is being operated.
If a company cannot reasonably get an order processed and handed off to the shipping carrier within four weeks, then shipping should not be offered as though customers are receiving a normal retail fulfillment experience. And honestly, even four weeks should be considered exceptionally late.
The most frustrating part is that I was not expecting Amazon-level fulfillment. I knew what I was ordering and understood that Porch Pirates has a different business model. I simply expected the basic premise of ordering something, having it shipped, and eventually receiving it to still apply.
When I can order something from China and have it arrive before a U.S.-based company has managed to move an order placed on July 9 beyond the starting gate, something in the process is clearly broken.
At this point, my frustration isn’t really with the merchandise. It’s with the complete lack of urgency, communication, transparency, and accountability surrounding the fulfillment of the order.
I gave this company plenty of grace.
They have used up all of it.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Porch Pirates Mystery Boxes until they significantly improve their order processing, communication, and shipping practices.

First time ordering from them
First time ordering from them. My delivery date was August 3rd. Well it’s August 18th and not only do I not have my box but no update. Originally they did reply to my email but it was a run around answer with no resolution. I emailed them again as I had not heard from them, waited three days and still nothing so I emailed and again and still no answer. Worse experience ever. Feeling scammed and won’t be doing business with them again but still want resolution….

7 weeks and still no box!!!
I ordered the box on July 5 and it is now Aug 18 - every week I’ve been calling and emailing; sometimes with no response, sometimes with a lie stating a label was created and that it will be shipped out next week. Seven weeks is way too long to wait for an order. Unacceptable.
