The poliglu only works whilst the phone is on next to it. You speak into the phone and the poliglu converts. So bloody useless. Plus am bombarded ( 20 plus per day ) with adverts from the company for other products including the actual translator which In have unfortunately already purchased. Plus there is no complaints / help desk to see if my problem can be resolved. It seems there are many others with the same problem. The adverts are illegal as it doesn't do what they proclaim. I am disgusted.

I recently wrote a scathing but honest and factual account of my first dealings with this company. In short, the website defaults to buy 3 get 2 more. So if you don’t see this and think you are only ordering 1 you get slammed for 5 (and who needs 5). Now that would have been easily fixed by modifying the order and I contacted customer support immediately but was given a terrible run around and a load of BS about not being able to modify or refund. I went on the attack, given my background in the justice system. I am pleased to report that I was finally contacted by a customer service manager Joan. She was genuine and apologetic. A very nice person. We chatted for sometime. I told her that the company needs to firstly do something about the buy 3 default already being selected and the less than helpful response from customer service after immediate contact following the overcharging. Joan assured me that I would receive a full refund. She told me that the order was on the way. I told her I would return them when they arrived as that was only fair but she indicated that she was advised to not seek the return of the items wrongly sent. On top of that she was authorized to send me a gift as well for my feedback (even as negative as it was), I note my account has be recredited today in the full amount. I can’t comment yet on the device because it has not arrived. But I now give 4 stars for Joan’s effort and kindness and for Poliglo for more than making up for the very rocky start. Thank you to all involved. Joan assured me that my feedback regarding the ordering on the site and customer service response will be taken seriously. Thank you Joan and Poliglo…I must confess I expected to be in battle with them for a long time and was very much convinced that I would end up at a loss. This fortunately turned out for the best and in fact I have benefitted from it as it appears for which, as a fair person, I feel a little bad about but Joan’s response to that reassured me that they are trying hard as a new company to get it right.

I can not recommend this Real time translator. it only works with the app open on your phone, if phone goes on pause it stops working. i could just download the app. the device is useless by itself. But for learning purpose it’s has use. With all this sayd, i did not ask for any refund or anything.. But Poliglu contacted me and offered me a full refund, I have never met anyone in costumer service this nice and kind! And I really hope that this company rise to the best in the marked :)

I decided not to keep the Poliglu because the aps on my phone do an equally good job. I had some difficulty getting the device returned and my refund given. But at last my refund arrived. I still advise buyers to rely on their phone translation aps especially if they have bought one of those rest-on speakers, for additional volume in noisy restaurants.

Ik heb Poliglu snel ontvangen, maar na 1x gebruik te mogen maken werkt de app niet meer. Dus ik heb er helemaal niets aan omdat ik de Poliglu niet kan gebruiken😡, terwijl ik het in mijn werk zo nodig heb… De app blijft steeds op het 1e scherm staan en veder niets. Het apparaat zelf zegt dat die succesvol is verbonden, maar in de app kom je niet verder, dus onbruikbaar. Ik ben zeer teleurgesteld gesteld - zonde van mijn geld!
