I dont like how I had to pay 25 dollars.

Poetry.com is a great platform for meeting the uprising demand for displaying everyday poetry. It is simple to work with and quite enjoyable.

Most of the poems I have read (January, March and June contests - all entries) were amazing, some inspiring, some clicking my "idea" button. But then...maybe it's me, maybe it's the site design...maybe something else, but I have had difficulty navigating, if I click on review poems it goes automatically to another poem, but not necessarily to the next one on my screen, finding poets by name when I want to see what else they have written, or getting back to "home". about half the time I either stumble on what I'm looking for, or give up. I'm not giving up. The important thing is the feedback I've been given, the opportunity to have my poems SOMEWHERE out there for whatever future poetry might enjoy.

*My Take* The Poetry.com is doing pretty well by being consistent with the collection of people's works, reviewing them and picking the best out of many. This singular act has challenged many to improve on their writing skills. That's on the positive side. What I observe on the contrary is that, the company has given attention to those who are able to register with money and those without money barely stand a chance. There should be a section for those who don't have. They should also be encouraged through little motivation.

i liked that they provided a great platform for sharing poems , and one that is exclusively for poets and publishing poems. i didnt like that we have to pay to enter a contest, eventhough we can publish poems nevertheless.
