Poetry.com has long been a recognizable name in the world of online poetry, known both for its accessibility and its controversial past. Over the years, the site has undergone several transformations—from a once-flawed vanity publishing platform to a more refined user-generated content space. In its current form, Poetry.com is an open-access poetry community where users can share poems, read others’ work, and connect over a shared love of verse.

Every month eagerly I have been waiting for poems. Most of the poems are very interesting. I shared some of the poems with my degree students. They read and expressed their views.

It was great. Being able to share your original poetry and the chance to win a prize is wonderful. Even if you don't win, the opportunity to be a part of the community with others sharing their gift of writing poems is priceless.

I love this. Very simple and easy to use. Have won third place in a poetry contest so far.

Being exposed to the beauty of poetry pieces, not to mention the artists behind it all, severely aided me in continuing the pursuit of poetry... worth my time
