Aged 74, after 60yrs absence from piano lessons and now 4yrs into playing with PS, I can absolutely recommend this music app. I began with rookie to reconnect, the intermediate and now loving playing new advanced songs or reconnecting with songs in my library ( favourites). I still love learning from courses and bootcamp. This is such a fun learning experience, competitive to yourself and easy slow to fast breakdown of learning. I have recommended to friends who also love it. Technical issues are also quickly reviewed and resolved. It is never too late to learn- I am in love with this relaxed learning app.

I’m giving Playground Sessions 5 stars because this app has truly made learning piano accessible and fun. I’ve wanted to learn piano for many reasons, and there are so many benefits to learning as an adult. Playground Sessions has helped me learn songs above my level, which has boosted my confidence and even impressed others. The lessons are clear, the structure is motivating, and everything feels easier to understand. I’ve posted videos on my YouTube channel of both beginner and advanced songs I learned through this app. Playground Sessions has been a big part of my piano journey, and I’m grateful they’re spreading the love of music and piano.

I learned about Playground Sessions from my son. Like him, I had always wanted to play the piano. Although I played guitar from my teenage years, I basically taught myself after failing to succeed at in person lessons. Since I never learned to read music my experience was not great. After listening to my son’s experience I decided to buy a keyboard and sign up for playground sessions. My experience has been great! This program takes you from square one and teaches you everything you need to know to read music, navigate the piano keyboard and actually play music! I can progress at my own pace and there are many different styles of music available. I’ve been at this for some five months now and I am ecstatic with my progress. It feels like a live lesson in that the video teachers walk you through everything and give you tips to help you remember things and position your hands. I can’t say enough positive things about this program!

Playground Sessions is an amazing interactive piano learning experience that has helped me get to a higher level of playing in a short period of time.

It is a great app for learning piano. Each lesson is broke down into sections. You can slow them down to help you learn. The section by section is a great way to learn a song and each sections ends up scoring your performance so you know exactly where you are!!! The backing tracks are AMAZING. Very well put together arrangements. It makes it so fun to learn and a great hobby!! Work at your own pace and 100’s of song choices and varying levels! FANTASTIC!

I love Playground. I've tried Simply Piano, Piano Marvel, and Flowkey and Playground works significantly better for me. They have actual teachers (great teachers) breaking everything down for you, and guided Bootcamp curriculum, and by far the best arrangements and backing track music. I started as a beginner but quickly found myself playing intermediate music. I love their accuracy scores and instant feedback. Big fan.

I was really bothered and disappointed and had actually given them 2 stars. I expected a good working app, but it didn't work in my Pixel 10 XL Pro. Eventually, I started using my wife's iPad and it works just fine. I appreciate the quality of Playground Sessions' lessons, but had encountered two frustrating issues. First, the loop feature is difficult to use because I can't accurately place the start and end markers where I want them. The markers consistently end up in the wrong location, making it hard to practice specific sections. Second, the interactive score isn't properly aligned. When I tap a note to see its location on the virtual keyboard, the app often highlights a completely different note or jumps to another section of the score instead. These issues make it much more difficult to isolate measures and review note placement during practice. I hope the developers address these touch-calibration/display problems in a future update because the app has a lot of potential otherwise. I had never been so discouraged to use an app before and thought I would have to deal with this for a whole year until I borrowed my wife's iPad.

Solid beginner lessons with a bit of a steeper ramp. App works GREAT. The 5 stars comes from... of all things... how easy it was to cancel. One click; just like that. No annoying prompts. No need to call. Yes, I like the service but it's just not for me right now. I'll be back some day. Thanks!
