I was going to use funds for my business expansion. After getting an amount I was good with, the representative continued to move the goal posts for documentation. This was AFTER a signed contract was submitted. When I expressed my concern the representative got into some weird shaming debacle. I told the rep to cancel the contract, I did not want to do business with them. He confirmed via text but never sent any other documentation via email or otherwise confirming it was cancelled. I called the company direct and asked them to send me cancellation comfirmation and again, nothing. Highly suspicious of this type of business practices.

Hi Paul, Thank you again for your patience and for taking the time to share your concerns regarding your experience throughout the funding process. After reviewing everything in full, we want to clearly summarize what took place and provide the closure you deserve. After you selected the approval amount you were comfortable with and executed the contracts, we were at the final stage prior to funding. At that point, underwriting remained firm on reviewing your most recent business tax return due to your initial approval being for a six-figure amount. As a standard policy, any approval at or above $100,000 requires financials to officially fund. Since you were not taking the full approval, we did attempt to waive this stipulation; however, underwriting ultimately remained firm on requiring a 2023 or 2024 business tax return for final review. Once the requested tax return was not provided and you advised that you no longer wished to proceed, the process was stopped and your file was formally closed per your request. Our Director of Operations and Minority Owner both made attempts to connect with you to personally relay our sincere apology. We regret the frustration this process caused and truly appreciate the opportunity to clarify everything in writing. Should your situation ever change in the future, we would be here strictly as a resource if needed. Until then, we wish you continued success and all the best moving forward.

Insisted on using a legal name when redirected to a preferred name. Willfully kept on using said name after being asked not to. Sent emails after being told not to. Management refuses to acknowledge that anything was wrong with the ignored request. Edit based on response: Name use was IMMEDIATELY Clarified and continually ignored throughout the entire call. That is NOT respect. DO NOT make excuses for your employee continuing to disrespect. Each WILLFUL disregard of a simple request was a further insult by your company and your representative. Your director claimed to be fully aware and if he wasnt he should not have acted as if he was and blown off my concerns. He was more concerned with making excuses then correcting any issues. All your reponses prove my point that you are more concerned with making excuses then actual remorse or correction.

Hello Chief Bennett, We’re sorry our first communication did not meet your expectations. The information provided on BusinessLoans.com — including your first name, email, phone number, etc. — is what we rely on to establish our initial connection, and we approach every business owner with respect. That said, once you made your preference clear via text, our representative should have addressed you by your requested title, and we have addressed that internally. After reviewing the brief text exchange and your emails that followed, we do not believe the use of your first name warranted the level of personal insults and hostility directed at our employee. When you contacted our main line, our Director of Operations did not yet have the full context of the situation and was unable to respond to your concerns as you expected. Given the nature of your responses, we have closed your funding inquiry and will not be pursuing any further contact. We wish you and your business the best moving forward.

this company is a predatory lender. Some guy name Tyler called my officer multiple times. When I told him we were good and had other options under evaluation, he became very aggressive. I continued in a nice manner to tell him I was good. He then just hung up in my face. Do not take money from these folks. I am 100% sure the ratings are false and being put up by their employees to get people to take their loans. Fake Company...!!! I am going to blast them in a very negative way on my web and radio talk shows.

Hi Clint, We take customer feedback seriously and always strive to provide a professional experience. After reviewing our records, we see that you’ve applied for funding multiple times—starting back in February 2022, and with your most recent request just last week—which contradicts your claim that we are a "fake company." Our team only follows up with businesses that have previously expressed interest in funding, and we apologize if any interactions came across as too persistent. Additionally, we noticed that your business is now listed as permanently closed. If this is incorrect, we recommend reaching out to Google to update their records. Regardless, we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Terrible experience - looks like a scam that is looking for your private banking information and they disappear after that. Please stay away. They knew very well that we are a seasonal business. This was the quote from their rep - funny how they replied to my bad review but didn't have the courtesy to email. "That is okay. We fund seasonal businesses all the time. We need to show this is normal for you. You will need to provide 12 months of statements for underwriting to consider the full year of cash flow. Also to increase the probability of the best terms I would send financials. Tax return, YTD P&L, AR aging report. These additional documents are not required to get a quote but if you want underwriting to consider the full picture, that is how."

Hello Ajanta, your file is still under review with underwriting. Forgive the delay. The recent banking activity (Zero Deposits for the month of January) is giving underwriting pause. They want to see the account rebounding before putting out an approval. Do we have any deposits for February? Our last email to you was asking for a February Activity Report to push the process forward. ------ Hello again Ajanta, with no Revenue for the last two months we are unable to provide an approval at this point in time. We can revisit funding options once the revenue picks back up. Appreciate the opportunity all the same and wish you the best in everything you do.

EDIT 9/1: After writing this review after bad customer service by Andrew, I'm updating on the response by the company and this same rep. I was called and emailed about "resolving this" and "considering changing my review" at least 10 times in a few days. Here are the last few emails from Andrew: Friday Sept 1: Are you taking the review down because it doesn't seem fair given the time we spent giving you the best offer and we tried to do it for as cheap as possible for you? On Thu, Aug 31, 2023 at 1:13 PM Andrew Goertzen andrew at platformfunding.com> wrote: Are you able to call in today like you had said yesterday? Thank you On Thu, Aug 31, 2023 at 11:35 AM Andrew Goertzen andrew at platformfunding.com> wrote: Please call Brett today as we are still trying to resolve this ... **I spoke with the owner 8/31 after being called and emailed many times to reach out to them after leaving the below review, and the owner stated he didn't agree with the sales reps lack of tact and ability to guide me through understanding a contract. Truly - this rep doesn't even care to guide me through it, as you can see in his response to me below. He also stated, though, that he has worked alot with this rep on how to give good customer service, that this rep doesn't understand what he did wrong, but that he, the owner, reprimanded him. I didn't sense in ANY WAY that this rudeness of customer service or lack of care for the customer by this rep will be fixed. I can't in good conscience remove this review because of that. I've added to the review because I keep getting tone-deaf messages from this rep and have blocked his email so he will just leave me alone. The rep, Andrew's, regular emails to me feel like borderline harrassment and so abrasive and uncaring. I poured my blood, sweat and tears into building up my business that feeds my family, and simply stated I was uncomfortable with language in the contract sent over to me. His response (see below) is so ridiculous and uncaring, and doesn't even respond to my original email pointing to specific language in a contract that I am uncomfortable with or perhaps just don't understand. ___ ORIGINAL REVIEW: I stated I didn't like the language in the contract, and gave specific locations of the language. It states it's not a loan, that I give over rights to my bank accounts and contracts as a business owner. I emailed with these specifics, and this is the response I got - not actually helping me to understand what these sections of the contract said, helping me to feel comfortable signing a contract, but rather trying to guilt me into signing! If you can't get comfortable with the language I don't know what to tell you but that's all it really is. If you can make your weekly payments you have nothing to worry about

Hi there Katrina, Appreciate you taking the time to provide the feedback on your experience. The minority owner of our firm, Brett Sanders, tried to reach out to you to shine some light on the language in the contracts, but was unable to reach you. The approval that Andrew had ironed out for the business was a working capital advance which is a purchase agreement of the companies future sales. The language on the contracts would be similar to the language on the contracts with Stripe. Instead of a fixed percentage of your Stripe sales, which the amount Stripe takes can vary based on the sales for the day, we would have collected $398 a week over a 15 month term and then at the end of the term the deal would be paid in full. Andrew really does have a passion for music. You can check his music out on sound cloud. I could see how email could be interpreted, but I assure you that wasn't a ploy to guilt you into taking the deal. We appreciated the opportunity to go to work for you all the same and if you have any questions please feel free to email me at [email protected] I'd be happy to connect. Wish you the best in everything you do, Colin Neumann-Kyle (Director of Operations)

after contracts were done they were saying we defaulted but our company has no loans with the said company. don't waste your time on false promises they make. Update- Someone identifying himself as owner called and saying he may share confidential documents with other company who we didn't authorize and now asking trustpilot to remove this review Reply on 01/26/2023 - Our one is an entirely new corporation who purchased an existing business and we don't have any defaults or judgments against our corporation. Previous owner had his own corporation and how do you link it to ours? We are glad we didn't get funded thru these people who doesn't have any knowledge on corporations or EIN and company stock purchase and asset purchase. We had a clear contract which specifically had a clause of no previous liabilities.

Hi Dhana, your file took some serious digging to get to the bottom of. When you took over the business you inherited the good and the bad. Unfortunately the past owner, Ramesh Kania, took on funding for the business and defaulted. The default is tied to the business that you now run. We've tried to get in touch with you to speak on this, but we are always redirected to your office manager who goes by the name Ram. Square Advance is the funder that filed the judgement against your business. I would reach out to them to see what can be done to remove the lien that is tied to your business.

Horrible experience they ask 100 questions about what has already been put on the application. They waste your time and ask you to submit all of these documents then act too busy to confirm loan.

Hi John, I'm sorry to hear you had that experience. I've been trying to find your file to see who was the agent assigned, but I'm not seeing a John West in our system. Can you please give me a ring at (516)726-1730 and I'll be happy to shine some light on the disconnect. We always aim to be a resource for any business owner that's open for their communities. I look forward to hearing from you, -Colin N.-Kyle
