I didn't care for Dr. Otero's nurse practitioner. I thought she was a little pushy. When it came to getting a MRI of my back. I can't afford to get an MRI on my back right now. She wanted me to get set up for shots which I can't afford right now either. Dr. Otero and I discuss this with every visit. When I checked out I wasn't to happy with the girl that checked me out she was with Concorde. I told her I didn't want to get set up for the shot yet. But, she did it and said I could always call and cancel it. I called to cancel the appointment for the shot and got a rude person on there to. So all in all I wasn't very happy with the service. I only want to see Dr. Otero from now on.

Hello, Things at this location could be better. The waiting area is cold, quiet and hard get to the front desk if your if you're in a wheelchair. The bathroom is still not handicap accessible and does not accomidate wheelchairs. Items have to moved around or out of the bathroom to get in. The toilet seat is too short. It's not ADA compliant. There is not railing to help get up and down. So it is impossible to use the bathroom and give a urine sample. I was told months ago that the Pinellas Park location was doing renovations to make both these areas bigger, better and more wheelchair friendly, but that is not the truth. When I asked this past visit about the renovations. I was told there are no more plans to change anything. I asked for a referral for water therapy. When I looked at the referral when I got home, it says that the therapy is for my back. I don't have a problem with my back! I have end stage Osteoarthritis in both knees and need both knees replaced. I thought water therapy may help me maintain muscle in my legs and help with my balance. The referral I got does me no good, and now I have to wait another month before I come to the office to ask for the 3rd time. Last time she forgot to write me one and left before I checked out. So they couldn't ask her. That's what I get for seeing someone other than Dr. Guirguis. My husband and I arrived on time for my 3 pm appointment. There were three other patients in the waiting room upon arrival. We continually have to wait at least an hour before seeing the physician. When we were going to the last room on the left, I noticed all the doors to the rooms in the hallway were empty, and no other patients were back there. So why did I have to wait so long to see the physician? The only reason I'm still going to this practice is because I followed Dr Guirguis from his previous practice. Although I'm very disappointed I have not gotten to see him the last 2 visits. I make the appointment with Dr. Guirguis so I expect to see Dr. Guirguis!

It was a long wait time. Doc didn't speak to me at all while completing the procedure (I did not have anesthesia). The staff who prepared me for the procedure were friendly, knowledgeable, and put me at ease. The staff in the procedure room (other than the Doc) carried on personal conversations the whole time (not at all professional).

With this new takeover, there are to many people tripping over each other. It's over kill. One nurse trying to do introvenus blew my vein the first time & messed up a 2nd time. Then she asked another nurse to try. Usually they love my veins.

The staff is great. The doctor used to be. I never received any instruction on my implanted pain device, which was basically tossed along with a box at my husband as I was being rushed out of the OP surgery bed immediately after the implantation to make room for another surgical patient in their conveyer belt system. I do give my Medtronic rep credit for contacting me and actually admitting she was wrong and Taking time to explain some basic things re: my pain pump to me. The last time I went to my “pain” doctor, who I really thought the world of before he hooked up with Medtronic, he upped the dose but failed to set the delivery rate correctly to 4x/day and left it a 1x/day. I caught the error by the next day )my appt was Wednesday before Memorial Day). I was able to figure out what he had done. He was “busy” showed no concern or even caring over a mistake he had made that basically cut my dose to a bit over 25 % from what I was even originally allotted. He said, “she’ll be fine. She can wait until Tuesday (after the Memorial Day weekend).” I was shocked, I was vomiting. I was in extreme pain and could barely walk. My husband was stressed out. I had done nothing wrong and yet I was yelled at and felt blamed. My spinal cord is squashed down to 7 mm space which if I have muscle spasms, I literally am in extreme pain and lose my ability to walk very quickly. Thank God for his staff who stepped in and and a Medtronic rep was able to recalibrate what he messed up and didn’t care about. I’m thinking adding or training a member of his staff in handling and recalibrating these implanted devices and increasing that person’s pay instead of employing a transcriptionist who follows him around so he no longer has to type would’ve been a batter choice. I felt that the nurse practitioner treated me like a drug addict because my urine test came back negative and I was there for a refill.

I previously felt like a patient going to see my Dr. Now I feel like a drug addict. The wait is very long and the fact that I have to go on a monthly basis is very hard for me. I don"t drive and have to depend on a friend to drive me and not much changes in a monthly period anyway.What happened to the every 3 months? And why do I have to do the pee thing almost every time I go now? I understand (I really do) that people have abused the system so that I am having to pay. Just letting you know...I DON'T LIKE IT!

I love Dr. Cases, but his front desk girls need to learn how to smile. We as patience are already having to come to a pain management Doctor, so things aren't great for us. A nice smile upon entering would sure be nice!
