Being I am in my 70s, the songs used as examples for practicing did not appeal to me. But I did learn to play the piano, especially with my right hand. Need more practice with the left hand. But I have not completed the full course as yet.

Thanks Jacques for inspiring me to pick up the piano again after the typical failed childhood experience with classical piano doing scales and exams. This is something quite different and much more enjoyable. The course is based on learning to play chords, much like strumming along to a song on the guitar. Jacques teaches you how to find the chords to popular songs and practice along to the music video before breaking free and improvising on your own. I haven't quite finished the course yet, it's probably going to take me 3 months not 21 days, but you decide what pace you go at. It's good, it's fun, it's motivating because you feel you're making fast progress. I wish the video classes were longer and the explanations on the improvisation techniques more detailed. It's difficult to see what Jacques is doing exactly that makes his improvisations sound a lot better than mine. But I'm sure it will come with practice. Like anything, there's no easy ride, you do have to work at it and practice! Jacques does answer questions by email if you're stuck. This is an online purchase I don't regret!

I cannot give a true review until I have gone into the course further. Obviously someone with some music background can do the course more easily.

Hello Jacques, Thanks for inspiring me to take the 21 day piano course. I decided to take a little longer in completing the course because I work full time. I have learned so much and I can play three 4 chord songs using my sustained pedal. I know that I need to work on my improvisation techniques and that is why I am glad the course allows me to come back as long as I need to.

If you are looking for a series of lessons that is inexpensive and provides you with a well planned method designed to get you playing actual rock songs (not “Hot Cross Buns”) within a matter of days, then Piano in 21 Days is a must buy for those of us, myself included, who always wanted to play the piano, but was concerned that I lacked the time to learn what appeared to be a rather complex and daunting instrument. Piano In 21 Days has completely changed the manner in which I now perceive the piano, and caused me to reassess my unlearned opinion regarding the complexity of the piano. Jacques has broken down the lessons in a way that makes the piano understandable and not nearly as intimidating as I once thought. The lessons are great. They are each targeted to mastering necessary building blocks used to play chords and while I’m only half way through the course, I’ve learned so much more than I could have from any of the various “old school” books I got from Amazon. If you are finally ready to attempt to tackle a big challenge like learning the piano, please start with Piano in 21 Days. Worth every penny.

I stumbled upon Jacques' Piano In 21 Days program and after watching some of his You Tube videos and student testimonials, I decided to give it a try. Having had some frustrating classical piano lessons many years ago, I could relate to his experience. I knew I wanted to try piano again, and this course was a perfect match for what I wanted. Jacques doesn't teach you classical piano. He doesn't teach you sight reading. What he teaches you is chord knowledge, how to build chords, how to use arpeggios, how vary your playing with different chord inversions, how to improvise, and best of all, how to use the method to figure out the songs you most enjoy and want to play. I am on Day 10 in the program. I can already play over a dozen songs (some from the course, some from outside the course) and I can now figure out basic versions of several songs and play along with the recordings. Keep in mind that even though it's advertised as 21 days, it has taken me longer because I have a busy schedule and because I often review and repeat lessons for practice and reinforcement. So far, I'm thrilled. I'm making music on the keyboard again and to be honest, I'm getting little else done!
