Changing Providers after over 10 years
I've been using Photobiz for over 10 years now and I have had several issues over that time specifically having to do with poor quality control, management feature decisions and not actually listening to clients when they tell them their changes are heavily impacting workflow efficiency in a negative way. A perfect example of this, and the reason I am currently in the process of implementing a replacement is that they made a change that causes order receipt hyperlinks to expire after a week or two. We are constantly using those links to respond to our clients about what they ordered etc. and Photobiz's response to our concern was just to take the time and log in to your Photobiz account and navigate your orders and search for the client and then open their order. It is ridiculous and they could provide no solid reason for this change other than a vague hint of security. The only people that have the link are the customer and my studio. As a former Chief Technology Officer who's been in tech for more than 30 years, if there is something on their backend servers that make those links a potential risk, they should focus on fixing the issue and not taking away a key function for your entire client base and making it much for difficult and inefficient to conduct our business on a daily basis. This, along with many years of rolling out system updates during normal business hours because they apparently don't want their engineers to work after normal business hours to roll them out. We have had site outages and bugs introduced in the middle of the day. I have tried talking with customer support and management and they just don't seem to care. You can read other reviews from former employees that give more insight into why this happens.
