Stop! If you use an Android phone read this.
There is nothing wrong with Phone.com as a company. The service is straightforward and general customer service has been helpful. However, in my experience, it simply does not work properly on Android. I had persistent problems on my Android phone, whereas it worked properly on an iPhone. Unfortunately, when I sought technical support specifically for the Android issue, the support was effectively non-existent and the problem was never resolved. So my advice is simple: if you use an iPhone, fine; if you use Android, I wouldn't recommend it.

Thank you for sharing this candid feedback. We’re glad our general service and customer support were helpful, but we’re sorry that the Android app did not work reliably for you and that our technical support team was unable to resolve the issue. That is not the experience we want for any customer, regardless of the device they use. I am aware that you have since transferred your number to another provider and canceled your Phone.com account. We appreciate your past business and will share your feedback with our product and support teams as we continue working to improve the Android experience.
