Hello Tina. The smell you are describing is the fishy smell that comes along with any chew that contains fish oil. Thousands and thousands of dogs enjoy those chews each month but some dogs may not for whatever reason. Therefore, we offer a money back guarantee on all of our products. I purchased this product based on reviews. This is no better than the the other products I’ve purchased. It does not work. Her itching has not decreased in the least. Waste of money.

Sorry to hear that the chews didn't help as they've helped thousands of other customers. The most common reason we come across is that the dog may be exposed to an allergen on a daily basis. Hey Laura, We have thousands and thousands of customers that are happy with the itch chews. That being said, is it possible that the product is not "nasty" and simply your dog just doesnt like the taste? If you brought a child to a fancy restaurant and they refused to eat the restaurants most popular dish, does that mean the dish was "nasty"? No. Just means the child didn't like the taste of the dish. We appreciate all corrective criticism but this feedback is more subjective and really doesnt benefit anyone. Thanks PetScy

My dog has had ample time for the itch relief to work and yet she is continually chewing and scratching herself and the probiotic does nothing for my dog either after 4 bottles and the costs are not worth it

Hey Donna. Sorry to hear that the probiotics didn’t help your dog. Unfortunately sometimes our products are not the right match to their dogs underlining condition. For the dogs that do respond to our products the cost is well worth it. May I ask. Is there a reason you went with the probiotic chew Vs our itch relief chew? The probiotic chew does help with skin issues if it’s due to an imbalance of bacteria in their gut. The itch chew may be the better fit in this case. Also, we speak to a lot of customers and there seems to be a common denominator anytime the chews weren’t helping. Their current dog food. Especially chicken flavored. Even if you do not stay a customer of PetScy we want to help your dog. It took me 4 different brands before I found a dog food that didn’t cause my dog skin issues. We settled on a Salmon flavored food that reduced her itchiness. Once we added the itch chew her scratching went down to 0% If interested I can send you out a free bottle of the itch chews to try and see if it helps ? Sorry to hear that the chew did not help your dog. As you read from our reviews the chew is normally effective. However, it may not help every dog as their underlining condition may not be solved by a supplement or it may be the wrong supplement. For example, some dogs skin issues may be due to an imbalance of gut bacteria. In that case our probiotic chew would be beneficial Vs the itch chew. Also after years of surveying and feedback we’ve learned that a lot of times it’s not necessarily the chew that is ineffective but that the dog has daily acute allergen exposure with makes it difficult for the chew to overcome. For example, if your dog is allergic to their food (chicken flavor being the most common) , it will be tough for the chew to be effective. Same with some possible household allergens such as cleaning detergents, candles, waxes, etc. Therefore, I would keep that in mind as your dogs issues could possibly be solved by just removing the items they may allergic to. What now! I purchased 3 of the itch relief 1st for my Silky Terrier Maggie Mae. She was constantly licking her paws and her girl parts. When I took her outside she would drag her butt on the rough concrete until it was raw. I know what you’re thinking her anal glands need to be expressed! Nope, took her to the Vet glands are fine. Vet prescribed appoquel which has a lot of bad side affects so I thought that maybe we need to come at this from another direction and I ordered the probiotic. Up to this point I’ve seen no improvement even with all three (2- itch relief, 2 probiotics and appoquel) she’s still scratching and licking all the time! Pat F

I am sorry to hear that our products did not help your pup. As you can imagine every dog is different and sometimes our products may not be the right fit for there underlining condition. You’ve probably already know but their current dog food could be the reason for their suffering. I know with my pitbull she will have the same symptoms if I feed her chicken or beef flavored foods and certain brands. If you haven’t switched up your dog food I would definitely do so.
