Like 8 months ago, I bought two of their automatic feeders for my cats on Amazon. Everything seemed fine until I realise that I got lemons. When my cat approaches the feeder, it doesn't open, even when I test it myself with the collar removed. Sometimes, when it finally opens and my cat stays in the area with his head above the bowl, it automatically closes and then immediately reopens, repeatedly. Thinking that collar's tag might be the problem, I bought more, but nothing changed. Furthermore, sometimes one of my two feeders doesn't close at all. I opted for automatic feeders because one of my cats was stealing food from the other and was becoming overweight. She was getting skinnier but now she's fat because of these problemes, she was able to take food from her brother's machine This is very frustrating because these feeders are quite expensive, and the quality is very disappointing.

Similar experience to customer below - the Polar wet feeder has real connectivity issues, and, having tried all the suggested remedies (on a feeder that is less than 9 months old) I emailed, getting an AI response apologising and, having confirmed I'd followed the steps, checking my home address to send a replacement. No replacement appeared, and nearly a week later a human response has come asking if I've followed the steps I've already detailed and seemingly asking me to video myself performing them. No response to my frustrated reply to that, and an elderly cat suffering as he waits for renal food for his kidneys which now doesn't come at regular times. I'm at my wit's end. Very disappointing. On Reddit I notice a number of people having similar connectivity issues when a previous software update was released. I wouldn't buy their products again, or at least I would use somewhere with reliable customer service like John Lewis and avoid the AI echo chamber...

I’ve received the Luma automatic litter box, and honestly, disappointment is an understatement. The advertised AI features simply don’t work as expected. My cat’s recorded weight fluctuates wildly between 2.7kg and 4.7kg, which makes the tracking completely unreliable. It defeats the whole purpose of having “smart” monitoring if you can’t trust the data. I’ve spent the past two weeks troubleshooting with their support team, and the experience has been frustrating. To even get basic functionality, you’re pushed toward expensive subscription plans that are overly complicated and poorly explained. I ended up purchasing one, only to find it didn’t even apply to my device. Thankfully, Apple refunded it. The air filtration system is also ineffective — it doesn’t seem to filter odours at all, which is a major letdown for a product in this category. When I requested a return due to the product not functioning as advertised, I was told I’d have to cover shipping costs myself for this large, bulky item. That’s unacceptable given the circumstances. On top of that, customer service responses are slow and unhelpful. Overall, this has been a very poor experience. I would strongly recommend considering alternatives — there are more established brands out there with far more reliable technology.

Well Would luv it if it had longevity. Pumps are short lived and the base unit does not last . Cats liked it. I'm going to try out one of their competitors. Someone out there must be making a top notch cat fountain.

I have an urgent, unresolved crisis with my PetLibro auto feeder — and their customer support has been completely useless. The feeder lost its WiFi connection and is now stuck in "lock mode," which means I can't unlock it, can't re-pair it, can't do anything. I've done every troubleshooting step on my own: rebooted the device, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, confirmed the firmware is current, and provided their support team with every model number and part number they asked for. Nothing worked. Here's why this matters: I'm leaving Wednesday night and won't be back until Friday — just over 24 hours — and my pet sitter had an emergency. My pet has no one to feed them. This is not a "wait 48 hours" situation. This is an animal welfare situation. But that's exactly what PetLibro keeps telling me — wait 48 hours. There is no phone support (they never answer). Their chat is AI-only, and when you ask for a real person, they just take your email. Email support collects your model numbers, then tells you someone will be in touch in 48 hours. No escalation path. No acknowledgment of the urgency. Just a wall. And this isn't a one-time glitch. I own four PetLibro devices — two Granary feeders and two Dockstream 2s — and the Dockstream 2s constantly lose connectivity. Buggy products, no real support, and no accountability. One more thing: don't bother looking for honest reviews on their website. They curate them. I deeply regret choosing this company.

The return process for me was unfortunately very lengthy and frustrating. I ordered 2 feeders late December and returned them by the first week of January. However I got no confirmation that the return was received, and had to reach out multiple times in order to speak to a real person via email. I finally got my money back late February. There needs to be a better system for tracking returns / refunding in a timely manner. I was scared I was never going to get my money back…

Petlibro's website is heavily sales-focused and deliberately confusing. I bought a bundle that omitted critical technical details, resulting in a fountain without a battery backup. When I tried to exchange the unopened item, support refused to cover return shipping, failing to acknowledge their misleading product pages. Furthermore, the items arrived poorly packaged. The hardware might work, but the buying experience is deceptive and frustrating.

After 2 years of using my petlibro wifi connected water fountain, I would not buy again. It isn't very user friendly and is hard to disassemble the pump. It becomes dirty very quickly, and I'd much prefer a cheaper fountain or just a bowl of water in hindsight. The sensor picks up the slightest draughts in low traffic areas. I get the notification that a cat is drinking when everyone in the household is in the other room. Definitely not worth the price tag.
