Garbage
The Polar Smart Wet Food Feeder is a horrible product. I had two. Each one lasted a year or so before breaking beyond repair. I am taking both of them to the electronics recycling center. Expensive and utterly unreliable. Avoid at all costs. Postscript: The response from Petlibro is misleading. I did experience software problems, but ultimately both units experienced physical failures independent of what they described in their reply. Red lights became permanent, the doors would not open, the motor would spin continuously and never stop or stop misaligned with the opening. Don't pay attention to their obfuscations. The product hardware is garbage. It doesn't just have glitchy software that has since been fixed. Second Postscript: Yes, the first one was replaced under warranty. The replacement broke just as quickly. Again, an expensive product with extremely poor reliability.
Response from PetlibroSep 8, 2026
Dear Anthony, Thank you for updating your review and clarifying the problems you experienced with both Polar feeders. We have taken note of the hardware-related symptoms you described, including the persistent red indicator, the sliding lid failing to open properly, and the food tray continuing to rotate or stopping in the wrong position. We understand that these are different concerns from the software-related issues referenced in our previous response, and we’re sorry if our earlier wording gave the impression that we were attributing your entire experience to software. We have also reviewed the history of your original order and can confirm that it has already been handled through our warranty process. We do not intend to dismiss the physical failures you reported, and your feedback regarding the lid, motor, rotation alignment, and overall hardware reliability has been recorded for our product and engineering teams. Thank you for taking the time to provide the additional detail. Feedback like this is important to us as we continue working to improve the reliability and durability of the Polar feeder. Sincerely, Petlibro Customer Support
