I used to have Quicken prior to Personal Capital and never got my real net worth. I was little reluctant to share my bank details in Personal Capital, at first, but after reading reviews on multiple bank websites and blogs, I was convinced and started using this. Now I am a big fan of this and never opened Quicken after signing up on Personal Capital. I never received any marketing calls but heard from my friends, who have received them. I am so far happy with my decision, as long as Personal Capital don't sell my information.

There are a number of apps that do roughly what Personal Capital does, and it's largely a matter of personal preference as to which user experience is better. However, Personal Capital is the only one I've tried that was able to connect to all of my accounts, so for me it wins on the ability to execute its core functionality - aggregating account data.

Great software! I love the graphs for basic net worth monitoring and the tools/calculators for retirement and investment planning are a great addition.
