Hi Ben: I looked into this as I always do if/when we do not get the highest review possible. From reviewing the file it seems that we did receive some declinations on your bond request from some of the standard markets (surety companies) and had to take the file to one our our non-standard markets for approval. This was due to either the type of bond (this one was a hard-to-place contract bond) or applicant information provided. In any case, the bond was approved within a few days of our receipt of the requested information. We then issued the bond the SAME DAY upon receipt of paperwork and premium from your office. The price of the bond in question reflects the non-standard market we were forced to use due to your file specifics. In most cases this type of request would not have been approved by other bond sources at all, due to the nature of the file specifics. I think this reflects the ability that we have to approve and issue nearly ANY bond request that we receive, regardless of the pitfalls and underlying issues that may exist. In any case we appreciate your business and we are glad that we were able to have a bond issued for you when likely most other sources would not have been able to do so. Thank you again and please let me know if I can be of any personal assistance going forward. Regards, Mike Herranen President 623-933-9334 EXT 6701

I had to go to the office twice because the bond was not signed properly due to the proprietor having two different registrations with the state and the name he signed with (no middle name) was the lesser of the two amounts and did not cover my bond. I live in the East Valley and the office is North Phx/Glendale airpark area. Not good.

Lawrence. Thank you for the review. I am sorry about your troubles and I looked up your file to find out what happened. I see that this bond was through the Arizona Probate Court. I will let you know that the AZ Probate Court is NOTORIOUS for kicking back bonds for silly reasons and making citizens jump through many hoops to obtain what that specific court feels is required. We have gone rounds with them on many accounts over the most ridiculous things, as have many other bond agencies in our industry. I hope that you understand that the issues you encountered were not caused by our office (I read the notes in the file) but rather caused by this court's inability to process bonds as any other normal obligee would do. We work on a national basis and work with thousands of obligees (State and Federal agencies) in all 50 States across the Nation. The AZ Probate Court that you worked with is hands down THE WORST to deal with when submitting a bond, in any state or on any bond type (that is quite a reputation to uphold). But regardless, again I apologize for the difficulties that you had.
