Comedy of Errors
I bought a used Intellijel 7U Performance case from Perfect Circuit in late June. It arrived without a power supply. Wrote Perfect Circuit. They sent a replacement power supply via USPS, the slowest possible shipping option. Took a week to get here. Plugged it in and it is a counterfeit (blue LED, all Mean Wells have green LED). It makes a crazy sound, smells like ozone, and completely fails to power the skiff. I'm lucky it didn't fry $4000 worth of modules. Wrote Perfect Circuit. Nigel says, yeah, sorry, how about a complete refund? Now I have to send back the case and the power supply (I don't know 100% if it is the PS or the case since I can't test the case). Wasted three weeks, and now have to figure out how to package this junk up – the Intellijel case is big – drive to a FedEx location, and get it shipped back to Perfect Circuit. Meanwhile, I got 23 modules sitting on my desk with no where to put them (I sold the old case to finance this one). No consideration for the time wasted or alternate ways to fix the problem. No urgency. Incredibly disappointing.
