Feels like a Scam
⸻ ⭐☆☆☆☆ 1 Star I invested $2,199 in the Platinum Publishing Package from Pens & Pages because I believed the company would deliver the professional publishing and marketing services they advertised. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. The package promised publication on multiple platforms, an author interview, social media marketing, reviews, shout-outs and mentions, an author dashboard, and other promotional services. While my book was published, many of the marketing services I paid for were never provided. To date, I have never received an author dashboard, an author interview, reviews, shout-outs, mentions, or the marketing support that was included in my package. What has made the experience even more frustrating is the lack of continuity. During this process, I have worked with five different representatives, each of whom eventually left the company. Every time someone new took over, I had to explain my situation all over again. There was little follow-through, poor communication, and no sense of accountability. I made every effort to resolve these issues privately. I repeatedly contacted Pens & Pages and even requested a partial reimbursement for the services that were never delivered. Unfortunately, I have not received a response regarding that request. As a first-time author, this should have been an exciting experience. Instead, it has been stressful, disappointing, and unprofessional. I hope Pens & Pages improves its customer service, communication, and follow-through so that future authors receive the services they pay for. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. ⸻
