Horrific experience! The system continuously has issues. The customer service is the worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere. Not once have I been able to get a complete resolution to any case. Delays on paying state taxes causing unnecessary charges. They will send the same invoice to multiple emails and claim non-payment and add extra fees even when you have proof of payment and paid immediately. Thousands of dollars of just missing tax impound funds and so much more.

Customer Support has greatly deminished..
If your okay with waiting for 3-4 weks for a response to service ticket issues, then Paycor just might be for you! Calling is no better. They have a tendency to play "not my job" and transfer you to various departments that also can't address the issue. There is a total lak of urgency and accountability when it comes to supporting customer needs. You would think that a platform built on supporting business operations would have an acceptable turn around time for support needs but...NOPE! You are truly on your own. Can't say that we will be here much longer.

Do not recommend
When you have to call support, you never know if you're going to get a qualified person or not. Majority of the time, they have no understanding of the issues let alone how to fix them. They treat employers as if they don't know anything and Paycor is never wrong. They have never made a mistake ever! I am keeping a list of all the issues. They try to make it seem like they care, but that is simply not the case.

On 3/3/26 Case 11850287 Called Paycor…
On 3/3/26 Case 11850287 Called Paycor regarding the JobcostGL payroll report received following submission of payroll. Explained the report does not balance debits and credits. I was placed on hold for 15 minutes and then disconnected.
On 3/3/26 Case 11850465 Called back to Paycor JobcostGL payroll report explaining again the report is incorrect. Was placed on hold for 1 hour and 40 minutes and then was disconnected.
On 3/3/26 Case 11852637 Called back to Paycor again regarding the JobcostGL payroll report explaining again the report is incorrect. Was told it would need to be sent to someone else and should expect a follow up email regarding the case. There was no resolution that could be made that day. I have not received any communication from Paycor regarding the report and in the portal, it states the case was closed forty-five minutes after my call. No detail at all in the notes.
The JobcostGL continues to be an issue each pay and I continue to be ignored each time I call with no resolution

Continued lack of knowledge and trust…
Continued lack of knowledge and trust in the products and services offered. I have several ongoing items that do not have a resolution. No one knows how the product works, they make system changes frequently without a change management plan or understanding dependencies on other features.

When I signed up
When I signed up, I was told they would handle everything so I wouldn’t have to stress and could focus on running my business, things like advertising and growth. That was completely false.
Instead of reducing my workload, they created more stress and constant problems. I was repeatedly on the phone or emailing them just to try to get basic issues addressed.
I was explicitly told, in writing and during onboarding, that my taxes and workers’ compensation would be handled. I confirmed this multiple times and was repeatedly told everything was “all set.” That was not true.
Paycor never ran my taxes. I only discovered the issue after receiving a notice from the state. Even then, they failed to fully correct it and did not handle unemployment taxes.
The same thing happened with workers’ comp. I was told it was being taken care of, confirmed it multiple times, and was reassured everything was set. After nearly three months, I found out nothing had been done. As a direct result, I ended up owing over $1,000 and had to go on direct billing, something that should have never happened.
The system itself was also unreliable. The time clock for my employees to clock in and out rarely worked. When I reported the issue, the representative did not believe me and instead of fixing it, sent me instructions, even though the issue was clearly on their end.
When I escalated the issue, the manager passed me back to the original sales representative. Their “solution” was to have me purchase a real-time clock system costing over $2,000,instead of fixing the service I was already paying for.
Customer service is extremely poor across all departments. There is a complete lack of communication, and it takes multiple calls and multiple representatives just to get basic things done. Many of the requests I made had to be submitted multiple times, and resolutions took anywhere from weeks to as long as three months. I was repeatedly told issues were resolved when they were not.
Even basic payroll corrections were not handled. I made a mistake on an employee’s hours and spent over two hours on the phone trying to fix it, with no resolution.
When I asked to speak to a manager who handles complaints, my emails went unanswered. After multiple calls, I finally got a call back, but there was no accountability or concern, it felt like the issues were dismissed.
I also experienced ongoing unprofessional communication. I reported being harassed by a representative and was told it would be handled. Despite multiple complaints, the emails continued. It took hours and multiple representatives to finally reach someone who helped, only to then receive an unprofessional response from a supervisor.
On top of everything else, I was charged for services, even after canceling my account on April 1 and not using any services in April, I was still billed multiple monthly fees, including scheduling services.
Even more concerning, after canceling, I was informed that Paycor would continue to invoice and debit my account for various fees, including termination and other charges. This is despite not using their services and having already canceled.
This company misrepresents its services, fails to deliver on critical responsibilities, overcharges clients, and creates real financial and operational problems for business owners.
If you value your time, money, and peace of mind,do not use Paycor.

One of the worst payroll companies
One of the worst payroll companies! Paying employees that are no longer employed , not paying employees that are working, taking the wrong state taxes out of other employees , double paying employees , then I need top of that charging employees almost $100 for a rejected direct deposit.
