When we met our sitter, we checked with them that they wouldn't cancel last minute, as that has been our usual experience with Pawshake sitters. They confirmed they would not. But of course they did. They have not returned our keys. Pawshake was thoroughly unhelpful in finding us a new sitter - they suggested some who are of course all booked up. So our weekend away is ruined because I have to stay home and look after the dogs. Pawshake is also not refunding my accommodation or other cancellation costs from our trip, because it's in their terms and conditions - so they can't afford to be decent human beings because their scumbag service breaks so often that they would end up bankrupt if they covered all the costs associated with their shitness.

I've needed to get house sitters from Pawshake about six times over ten years. This is normally if I'm travelling for work or a sports tournament and I can't get a friend or my partner to look after my dogs. Five of the six times, I've had strongly negative experiences. The pet sitters often pull out a week or closer to when I'm leaving, and finding a replacement that close is often too late. The Pawshake team explain that is sometimes how it goes, but with this being such a regular occurrence I feel they need to screen their pet sitters to ensure they don't screw over their clients as often. I strongly recommend using a different service

Very easy to use. Reasonable prices. Good system for meeting prospective sitter who did a wonderful job. Great peace of mind while my dog cared for in my absence.

Easy website to use, there were a number of really good providers to choose from, and the person we ended up selecting to look after our dog in their home for 4 weeks was absolutely fantastic.
