Pathrise had a huge positive impact on my life -- don't pass up this opportunity
I went through Pathrise in the summer of 2018 and absolutely loved it. Pathrise played a huge role in getting me ready to pass technical interviews at top tech companies. After 3 months of being in their program I got offers from Google and Amazon. Both offers were for software engineering roles.
In doing Pathrise I got:
- a mentor who cares about my success as much as I do
- many 1 on 1 mock technical interviews (coding challenges)
- lots of help understanding tough data structures and algorithms concepts
- a mentor who listens to and encourages me after I failed an interview or was really struggling to understand a concept

Amazing Mentorship, Great Results
Pathrise is truly dedicated to making sure their students succeed. I was incredibly worried about finding an internship for this past summer, but Derrick's technical workshops and one-on-one advising sessions (in which we mock interviewed, talked about how I could improve my struggles with analyzing space complexity, etc.) helped me land an internship with Adobe. When I was curious about what career path I should take within my company--web development? quality assurance?--Kevin helped me evaluate my interests and explained what industry-level work looks like for each area of CS (including product management, which I now hope to move into!). Pathrise truly cares about their students, and it reflects in their success--one of my peers who loves educational technology landed a job at Codecademy this past summer, and another interested in VR worked at Leapfrog. The results truly speak for themselves.

Mentors are really helpful in many…
Mentors are really helpful in many ways, from resume to technical preparation, even offer negotiation, they gave me personalized suggestions. Any time you have any questions, they would answer it in 24 hours, with a detailed explanation. More important, those guys are smart, you can learn a lot from those guys.

Worth the money
Joined pathrise the beginning this year and found myself a internship during the summer and landed a full time offer after this intern. If you ever know how hard can it be for a international student to find a job in US, you will understand how greatful I am to Pathrise.
Overall, I like their weekly session a lot. I have to say I can be a bit lazy sometime, but that weekly session helped me to really spend time everyday to work on it. Besides that, the weekly session also taught me a lot on how to networking, how to get ready for interviews and a lot more.
I would highly recommend Pathrise, it can be a bit expensive, but worth the money.

Join Pathrise, you won't regret it
Pathrise helped me to improve my interviewing skills a lot. Derrick did those amazing mock interviews for me which helped me to discover my strength and weekness and eventually get more offers.

Pathrise as a Freshman
Entering the job/internship marketplace is very difficult for an undergrad and I think Pathrise is a great resource for doing so. Kevin and Derrick, cofounders of Pathrise, both provide you with a lot of insight into how recruiting works, prepare you for each step of the process and are there for you even after you get an offer. They also open doors and provide opportunities that I could not get individually. I found their interview prep especially helpful as they not only present potential interview questions/ideas you should know but also critique your behavioral patterns and give insights as to what it's like on the interviewer's side.
Other benefits include a flexible scheduling and a very upfront, honest discussion on their policies. They keep true to their word involving how pricing works (only paying after you get the internship). Furthermore, I found both of them very easy to reach out to and ask for advice.
However, like all great resources, you can only get out of it as much as you put in. While Pathrise did help me get an internship for IBM as a freshman, I, unfortunately, did not take full advantage of Pathrise. At the time I focused mainly on school work and had I put in more effort into recruiting, I could have landed potentially several positions, which Pathrise could have helped me negotiate with.
Ultimately, Pathrise does many things right as they lay the path out and provides everything you need to succeed. While that is not to say that Pathrise is the only way to approach recruiting as you could always just apply to a bunch of companies on your own, it definitely will help you understand why the only emails you're getting back start with "Thank you for applying but we had too many qualified applications this year...".

Very satisfied
I was impressed with how professional and devoted the Pathrise employees were. The people who run the program seemed professional, knowledgeable, and most of all dedicated. I honestly felt that the mentor I was partnered with really cared about my career search and helping me learn more as an individual. I never felt that the people running the program were only doing it for the money, but rather that they were genuinely interested in helping college students succeed in their internship/career searches.
