I have to offer my experiences in order to offset these bad reviews. It sounds like many negative reviews are from people you don’t understand the difference between going to a store to buy something vs going to an auction to bid on something. You bid you buy. You don’t get to change your mind when you get home and request a refund or exchange. That is not how auctions work. Know what you are doing before you participate. They repeatedly announce that it could be weeks if not months before you will receive your artwork. I have participated in land, cruise and online auctions and my experiences have always been wonderful. I am a very informed bidder so I know what to expect. Everyone from the auctioneers to the concierge staff, customer service, after-sales; literally everyone has always been wonderful and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. Ask questions, be your own advocate and don’t blame anyone but yourself if you “assumed” something that turned out to not be the case. I can only speak about my own experiences but I am a very happy ParkWest bidder

Our favourite piece of work from artist Mr Fazzino was on the Quantum of the Seas cruise in mid march 24. We did not buy on the Covid cruise the Ruby Princess and regretted it at the time, I had searched the art work and it was being sold at some quite high prices on eBay and other sites. When we saw it on display on our entry on the Quantum cruise, we just bought it right away, haha. Not the first purchase on a cruise line and not the first time from Park West Galleries. This time was no different, we received regular updates from FEDEX and received it at lunchtime today, about a month since our cruise. I/we have had nothing but good experience with the company and the staff selling the art on the ships are more than knowledgable about a lot of art!!

Great staff really lovely art available at all price ranges from prints right the way through to originals. I think they really bring art to people who would never have thought of buying before. Very happy with the service but you do need to understand what you are buying and make sure you take into account any customs or vat/sales taxes.

Good service

We have bought from Park West for the second time. This time was six pieces. We had a great experience this time and the time before. I hate seeing the other reviews as this does not represent the experience, we have had at all. The people have been great, the customer service was responsive and resolved the two questions we had. Many complaints seem to be around the delivery time. They make it super clear not to expect anything for 90 days. To our surprise all six have arrived in less than 60 days.

Really enjoyed my experience. I was worried when I read the reviews, but I received my paintings within 5 weeks of returning from my cruise. Very pleased with everything!!

I was surprised to read all these bad reviews. On our recent Princess cruise, Park West was the most organized, informative and friendly section on the entire ship. I appreciated their seminars on different artists and the auctions were run well and actually a lot of fun. And my purchases came earlier than expected. Definitely 5 stars.

I like the art I have purchased in the past on cruises. I was invited to two land auctions last year and recently. The auctioneers were off putting. The British one at the recent auction was annoying. He talked too much and attempted to be a stand up comedian. Bad attempt. He went into a big shpeel about a “VIP” cruise he was on and how wonderful it was. Then very crassly said that only “collectors “ would be invited on VIP cruises. Ok, I get it.Then he said 6 people attending this auction Where I was present declared that 6 people there had not bought any art and would not be invited back. At least he didn’t call out their names. I know we were invited to purchase the art but his remark was distasteful. Another auctioneer introduced an art extravaganza of Peter Max. He implied that they are besties. Then he gave a brief autobiography of Peter Max’s life. He told he was born in Germany in 1938, and his family left when he was still a small child because they had to escape . He said that it was a dark time and he wasn’t going to go in to details. We approached him and asked him why he wouldn’t say that they were Jews and were escaping being murdered by Nazis. That circumstance was probably very influential in Peter Max’s life and art. He explained that he had been approached in the past by Germans who objected to his mention of Nazis killing of Jews causing Max’s family to flee to flee Germany. The whole weekend felt somewhat unsavory. They were auctioning masters, I.e. Rembrandt, Dali, etc. Didn’t seem legit. Aren’t the originals in the Louvre and other prestigious museums?
