ParkingMD helps streamline the medical evaluation step of the disability parking permit process online. We guide you through your state’s requirements, collect the details needed for a provider review, and keep your information handled through a secure intake. Once you complete your medical intake and upload any supporting records to substantiate your mobility limitations, we connect you with a licensed healthcare provider who reviews your information and determines whether you meet your state’s eligibility criteria. If you qualify, the provider completes and signs the appropriate state DMV form so you can submit your application to your local licensing office. If additional documentation is needed to make a determination, we’ll let you know what’s missing so you can move forward without guessing.ParkingMD is designed to make the process clearer and more convenient—especially for people who may have difficulty traveling or scheduling in-person visits. Please note that final issuance of a placard or plate is handled by your state DMV, and processing times, accepted documentation, and placard terms vary by state.

After numerious calls and continued dialog with the company, I am still waiting on paperwork to arrive in the mail. Told it has been mailed two different times, including resending it a second time. I live in Texas and the state requires actual signature on paperwork. Unable to use emailed copies. It has been 25 days since approval and received paperwork on line. Yet still can't get actual paperwork!
Now 26 days later, paperwork shows up in mail today. Now the Tax office says the signature does not appear to be real and only an electronic copy. I give up!

Hi Randy, we're sorry for this experience. Waiting 25 days after approval, with paperwork mailed twice and still not in your hands, is not acceptable, especially since Texas requires an actual signature and you can't use the emailed copy in the meantime.
We want to get this to you without any more delay. Could you send us your name and order number at [email protected]? We'll confirm the status of both mailings, send a new copy, and make sure you have a clear answer on where it stands.
We're sorry for the runaround and appreciate the chance to make this right.

The whole system is messed up.
The whole system is messed up.
I tried to do this for my wife. Some person named Sam is not fluent in English and unable to think on his feet. He panicked and hung up.
I gave it a final shot
AFTER entering my wife's info on that site. they STILL called me on my number. They sent the magical link to her on MY email. In the middle of the application process, a questionnaire popped up.
Then, some Dr. Patel called with the volume all the way down.
Then, I hung up.

Hi Thomas, we're sorry for this experience — a confusing, disorganized process like this when you're just trying to help your wife is not acceptable, and we understand why you hung up in frustration. We'd like to make this right and get your wife's application completed properly.
Could you send us her name and email used for the attempted application to [email protected]? We'll have a dedicated team member walk you both through it directly this time. We're sorry for the trouble this caused, and we appreciate you giving us the chance to fix it.

Stay away from these people!!!!
Stay away from these people. It has been about eight months now that they've been saying they will issue a refund to me. Every time I email them, they state that they will take care of it soon. Eight months later - nothing. Today, I emailed them again and we're back at the drawing board, they are asking for documentation - when we already determined that the documentation I have is not sufficient. These folks are game players. Trust me, stay away from them!

Hi, we're sorry for this experience — eight months without resolution on a refund is far longer than acceptable, and we understand your frustration with being told "soon" over and over with no real progress.
We want to get this fixed now, not push it further down the road. Could you send us your name and order number at [email protected]? We'll personally review your case, confirm the status of your refund, and get you a clear answer instead of another delay.
We're sorry it's taken this long, and we appreciate you giving us one more chance to resolve this properly.

Scam!!!
They took my money and never did anything to get my plate card.
Their excuse was that they couldn’t contact my Dr. to get medical records.
3 weeks ago they contacted my Dr. (what they said) and were waiting for my medical records.
Today when I requested my plate card, they were lost and couldn’t give me a true answer.
For me it’s a true scam.
They don’t want to return me my money.
Response from ParkingmdSep 28, 2026
Hi Marien, we're sorry for this experience, and we understand your frustration — waiting weeks for medical records and then getting no clear answer when you followed up is not how we want this process to go.
We rely on your doctor's office to send over the requested records, which can sometimes take longer than expected and isn't always something we can control on our end, but that doesn't excuse the lack of a clear update when you asked for one. We want to give you a straight answer about where things stand and what your options are.
Could you send us your name and order number at [email protected]? We'll look into the status of your records request right away and, if we're unable to complete your application, make sure you receive a refund.
We're sorry for the delay and the runaround, and we appreciate the chance to sort this out for you.

This company is a scam
This company is a scam. I submitted all the requested records and was approved for a HC placard. A month later and many many many emails and promises later and I still never received the hardcopy paperwork in mail. They just continuously say give it 5 more business days. The AI bots and responses try to be empathetic and claim to try and help but it's likely a scam. Beware and don't waste your money.
Response from ParkingmdSep 24, 2026
Hi Margaret, a month-long wait after approval with no hardcopy is not acceptable, and we're sorry for the runaround with the "5 more business days" responses — we understand why that felt like empty promises rather than an actual fix.
We'd like to get your paperwork to you now, without further delay. Please send us your name and email at [email protected], and we'll personally track down your documents and get them sent out (with tracking, so you can confirm it's actually moving) or provide a digital copy in the meantime if that helps you use your placard sooner.
We're sorry it's taken this long, and we appreciate you flagging this so we can fix it.

I ordered my handicapped Parkimg…
I ordered my handicapped Parkimg documents from Parking MD and it’s been 16 mail days and nothing has ever arrived. When I contact them they respond by stating they mailed it. I’ve never received it and I feel this is a scam to take peoples money! I’m a senior adult with sciatica and a torn meniscus and so needed this to be able to park close to my doctors office, or use handicap parking. Please be aware and don’t use Parking MD.
Response from ParkingmdSep 22, 2026
Hi Pamela, we're so sorry to hear your permit hasn't arrived — we completely understand how stressful that is, especially when you need it for mobility and pain-related reasons like yours.
Your order was completed and mailed on our end, but a 16-day delay is far longer than expected, and we want to get this fixed for you right away rather than leaving you to wait any longer. We'd like to send a replacement copy and look into whether the original was lost in transit.
Could you reach out to us at [email protected] with your name and order details? We'll get a new one sent out immediately.
We're sorry for the wait and the added stress this has caused — thank you for your patience while we make this right.

Scam …
They gave me the paperwork to receive my disability parking permit, but this time they are requesting more doctors notes other than the healo service notes my provider used. I tried this service again because they had done it once and it is cheaper than a trip to the doctors office plus being able to do it from home.BUYER BEWARE......legalized theft. Just bite the bullet and make the doctors appointment.
Response from ParkingmdSep 15, 2026
Hello Jeffery!
We're so sorry for the frustration and inconvenience this caused you. We know you came back to us because it had worked well before and was more convenient and affordable than an in-person doctor's visit, and we're sorry we didn't get it right this time.
To clarify what happened: when we reviewed your application, the medical records provided by you didn't include enough detail for our provider to certify your eligibility (for example, specifics on diagnosis, functional limitations, or duration of the condition). This wasn't a reflection on whether you qualify — it just means the provider needs more documented detail for your medical condition.
The good news is this doesn't have to mean a whole new doctor's appointment. We'd like to send you a consent form authorizing us to reach out directly to your provider and request the specific additional details we need. Often this can be added to your existing notes rather than requiring a new visit.
We're genuinely sorry for the extra trouble this caused, and we'd like to help make this right. Please reach out to us at [email protected] and we'll send the consent form over right away so we can get this resolved for you as quickly as possible.

Beware of this legal scam!
*******Follow-Up to Original Review*******
I just got off the phone and I am told that I am being issued a refund. let me be clear...Do not pay for this service. You don't need it. Your own doctor is able to complete the required documentation needed to get a placard or a plate.
Here is my situation. I have a back problem that is military service related. I had a MRI in 2021 that showed that I have permanent damage in 5 discs in my lower back. Rather than spend all day at the VA trying to see a doctor for a placard, I paid for this service. They received the results of my MRI and won't accept them because they are too old. Yet they show a permanent injury. Short of a miracle, I still have the problem. I was told I need to go back to see my doctor so he can write that I still have permanent damage, so Parking MD doctor can agree and request a placard. My own doctor can do that. So what am I paying them for? This is why it is a legal scam.
They also offered, for a fee, to get me a National Park Pass. This is a free benefit for all veterans. Why are they charging for something that I can get for free by visiting the National park Web site?
Please do not waste your money. It took me several weeks and a lot of stress and headaches to learn this. I offer you this valuable advice for free. I'm not going to charge you like they would.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
This is as close to a scam as you can get. First, I reviewed the entire web site before spending any money. I am a disabled veteran and did not feel like waiting in line for hours at the VA, when I can do it from the comfort of home in just a few days. Or so I thought. First, you need to pay the fee in order to learn the real truth and then you only get the truth a small bit at a time. Within an hour of paying, I realized that this is not what I was made to believe so I immediately requested a refund. Well, they did everything to convince me to stay. I set an appointment on the first day for 3:00 PM. I sat there for 30 minutes trying to get into the meeting only to find out it was canceled. I was told you can't meet with a doctor until your records are received. So... I requested them. And waited and waited. Emailed them again and was told the records haven't been sent and it could take up to 14 more days. Again, I told them I could have done it the same day at the VA, I just didn't want to sit in a line all day. Well today, after being sick of waiting, I uploaded own copies of an MRI I had done on my back. They told me I could do that to speed things up. I uploaded the file and again it told me to schedule an appointment which I did. Even got confirmation from Parking MD and was confirmed for my appointment. I waited again and once again the appointment link was dead. I sent a request and was told someone would call me...They never did. I set another appointment for 4:30. Once again, I couldn't get in. I then call customer service and spoke with who I am certain was an AI agent. I asked to be transferred and was transferred to number that was changed. The recording gave the new number so fast it was impossible to write it down. I had to call back again and try to get the number. Why would you transfer someone to a number that is changed. Why not transfer me to the new number? Oh that's right, they have outsourced it to AI. So finally I speak with a guy named Sam, probably not his real name, who explained to me the REAL process, which is a 5 step process that would make the 1 to 2 days processing time they claim on the web site nearly impossible. So here I am, weeks into what could have been a one day process at the VA, still waiting for who knows how long for something I could have already for free. I still want a refund but they have themselves covered and that will never happen. Sometimes doing the right thing means bending a rule but they are not about customer care or patient care. They are about money. Trust me, it is as close to a scam as they can be without breaking the law. Do not waste your time or money, trust me. And for whoever at parkingMD.com responds to this posting, please review all of my messages from day 1 until today and you tell me that I was not mislead and misinformed every step in this process. And rather than wasting time defending your actions, find a way for me to talk to a doctor. I've only been waiting a few weeks.

Hello William!
We’re truly sorry for the frustration and disappointment you’ve experienced throughout this process. After reading your feedback, we understand how upsetting it must have been to invest your time, wait for appointments, and feel like you were not getting the clear answers or support you needed.
We especially understand your concerns as a disabled veteran who was looking for a more convenient way to complete this process without the difficulty of waiting at the VA. We apologize that your experience did not feel simple, transparent, or efficient.
We reviewed your account and confirmed that you did upload medical records; however, the records provided were from 2021. Our clinical team requires more recent medical documentation that reflects your current condition before a provider can complete an evaluation. Without updated records, we are unable to move the evaluation forward.
We understand that this requirement may not have been clear upfront, and we’re sorry for the confusion and delays it caused. Our intention is never to make the process more difficult or leave patients feeling unheard.
If you no longer wish to continue with the evaluation, please contact us at [email protected], and we will assist you with your refund request. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and we will use your feedback to improve how we communicate our process and requirements moving forward.
