BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. This company is nothing but alleged fraud and scamming. After 6 months of hard work, jumping through hoops, contacting parchment and the school I was ordering transcripts from- with NO response or assistance given from parchment , no response from my school either - parchment "claims" they were able to contact the school, and have to cancel my order because its been "too long" and ill need to start over re-verify my information and place another order. I was more than irritated at this. They offered no assistance, acted like they could care less. It has been 3 weeks since they cancelled my order and I have had to keep constantly inquiring about my refund, much like I had to inquire if they were working on my request ._. Per Jess in customer service , there's no update ! Its been 3 weeks after 6 months of them taking my money already with no service provided and they just cant seem to find any information on when I will get my money back. Jess is the worst customer service associate and should be fired in my opinion . But she needs more training in how to assist customers, do her daily job responsibility and maybe a class on how to show a little concern or empathy when assisting a customer when the company you work for has allegedly scammed them and taken their money for 6 months and provided no service. Shameful! Do NOT use them .

This is one of the worst companies I have ever encountered. They take your money but then never provide a transcript. They do not respond to phone calls or emails. They disconnect calls. The website is awful.

takes forever to load, kicks you out of the system everytime it reloads and it overall a very poorly designed system

Tried 3 different credit cards transaction decline each time but still take my money. Customer service was useless

Is it just me, or is Parchment's frontend surprisingly unpolished for a service that handles such critical, official documents? Since they are a major third-party provider bridging the gap for thousands of institutions, you'd expect their UI architecture to be top-tier, but I ran into a really amateur bug today. The signature input box behaves completely unpredictably. When you try to use it, the box just expands on its own, causing a massive layout shift that messes up the entire page structure. From a technical standpoint, this is a super basic issue. It looks like they aren't defining strict boundaries for the component when its state updates. All they really need is a proper wrapper with basic CSS constraints (like a fixed bounding box, ⁠max-height⁠, or ⁠overflow: hidden⁠). Either that, or they have poor event handling during re-renders causing the DOM element to scale out of control. It’s honestly a bit baffling to see such basic responsive design and component lifecycle issues in production for a system this important. You'd expect better QA for a platform handling official transcripts and diplomas.

Usually pretty good about things but if you need assistance, forget it. You can call or email all you want but they leave you on hold and never pick up.

I hate this service so much. Their whole customer service department needs to be fired I swear. I have not had contact with one single competent person from them. I am a dual major so I had 2 diplomas coming but they never let me view and approve my secondary diploma. My name is misspelled constantly so I would have really enjoyed being able to SEE my diploma before it was print and sent. They swore I would have that chance. Then I come home from work to them in my mailbox. I sent several emails and they just sent me straight spam. Over 10+ emails all leading to the same link for only one degree for view and they never responded to my complaints or took accountability. They just continued to send me generic, unrelated slop to my inbox. Super unprofessional, super unresponsive, super terrible service overall. I made my school give me my diplomas as PDFs so if I ever need them I never have to look at Parchment ever again. Not until after I told them to stop harassing my inbox and that I took my complaints elsewhere to find mitigation did they bother to even read the original emails I sent. I did what I had to to solve this problem, they did not bother to try until after I said I already fixed their mistakes for them.

BEWARE - CONFIRM THE DELIVERY ADDRESS. Once you enter your personal email address, Parchment defaults to send to that address, and there are NO overrides through the web portal. If you need your records to be sent DIRECTLY to a third party (as is the case for everyone using this site), you will have to call them separately and get them to manually set a new delivery address. THEY ARE TRYING TO SCAM YOU INTO PAYING AN ADDITIONAL FEE TO SEND TO THE CORRECT ADDRESS!! Honestly one of the biggest web scams I've ever seen.
